The location was perfect being in central Henley, minutes from the river and restaurants. It was clean and the staff wonderful. Would stay there again. The rooms are very small but that was expected, great value for money.
The location of the Rioshouse is fabulous for those attending the Henley Royal Regatta -- one simply cannot stay any closer to the Regatta finish line. And the hotel is super convenient to many restaurants and coffee shops. It is a hotel with no reception but that never posed a problem. Keyless entry into the hotel, then our room, all went smoothly. And any questions were expeditiously answered by the hotel via the app. The room was cleaned spotlessly every day of our stay, with fresh towels provided. We would cheerfully stay here again.
Central and perfect for regatta
The location is great , very central and near the regatta
It is very small and very very basic. Not much privacy with the shower facilities . Rubbish was piled outside the main door when we arrived and it was very smelly . This happened on two of the days , they collect overnight . Very overpriced for what it was but it was regatta week .
The hotel is centrally situated immediately across the river from Leander Club. It was clean and comfortable, with excellent climate control, much needed as we stayed during the recent heatwave. We knew about the remote reception in advance which worked effectively overall. The restaurant on the ground floor of the building is excellent (if a little leisurely in its service at times).
Sound proofing isn't brilliant, meaning that we could hear other guests who were being quite loud, in spite of signs asking them to consider other guests (they did quiet down when asked). We unfortunately arrived on rubbish collection day, so that the door was slightly impeded by the rubbish bags from restaurant, which didn't give the best first impresssion. There is a luggage store, but there was no communication about how this could be accessed and no clear way to ask due to remote reception.
Location is excellent
Nothing- room a little small

great location!!
limited hot water but it was sorted quickly and bathroom cleaned
Great location, seamless booking and a quiet night to sleep after hiking all day
Central location on one of the main roads. A modern and clean apartment. The key-code entry was easy to use.
You could hear people talking in the other room. At 5.00am there were banging noises coming from the bar/restuarant below. Not sure why anybody would be in there so early on a Saturday morning. You have to search for parking. We parked in the Waitrose car park, which was a 6 minute walk. Maximum three hours stay, free after 6:00pm.
Great room
Method to send door codes doesn’t work, if booking.com won’t share the customers phone number then the system relies on the customer contacting the hotel. This just doesn’t work, there must be a better way.
I have stayed several times at Rioshouse, and find it to be the perfect location, at a reasonable price, in the middle
of Henley on Thames.
I previously stayed in room 103 as a solo traveller, which was great. It's a bit of a squeeze for 2 adults.
Somewhere to put your head down, but that is about it.
It suited our needs but is very basic, which sometimes is all you need.
Check in details messaged clearly and in good time.
No staff to be seen, all access on keypad entry.
