Located in a great area for the time we were in Annapolis and able to travel to local places with ease.
That I was not able to stay longer to get in the pool and do more exploring in the area, maybe next time.
Surrounded by a good range of restaurants. Breakfast was very good. Staff was fine.
Beds—mattress was well past its prime and I slept poorly as a result. Really uncomfortable and unacceptable.
Staff was extremely friendly and pleasant. Everything was clean, breakfast was good

I booked a room at the DoubleTree by Hilton Annapolis on a Saturday in July. What should have been a simple overnight stay became one of the most upsetting hotel experiences I have ever had.
I had already checked in on the Hilton Honors app and went to the front desk to verify my identity. I was welcomed and given keys.
I took the elevator to the assigned room, used the key card, and entered. As soon as the door opened, a woman who was in the shower screamed, "Hey!" Her personal belongings were clearly visible throughout the room, and both beds were occupied with her belongings. I immediately closed the door and returned to the front desk.
Only after I reported what had happened did the front desk agent tell me that I supposedly did not have a reservation for Saturday night, but instead for Sunday night. This made no sense. I showed her both my Hilton Honors app and my confirmation email, each clearly showing a confirmed reservation for Saturday. She stated that the only way I could stay that evening was to cancel my reservation and rebook it at the current rate of approximately $360. I explained that I had booked the room for approximately $200 and declined to pay a substantially higher rate for a reservation I already had.
I asked to speak with a manager, and the agent told me I couldn’t speak with anyone until the next morning, and the only way to get a room that night was to accept the higher rate.
Completely rattled, I decided to instead drive through the middle of the night back home. This was a trip to celebrate my mom’s birthday and see my new niece, and instead it ended up being a horrific and scary nightmare.
The reservation confusion was frustrating, but it was not the most serious issue. The most troubling aspect of this experience was that I was issued keys to an occupied guest room. This represented a significant failure of guest privacy and security. It was frightening for both me and the guest whose room I entered, and it should never happen at any Hilton property.
