The hotel had everything you could need. It was clean and beds comfortable.
It would have gotten 10 stars but they did not clean during our stay.
There was what appears to be mold in the bathroom, the service was awful, and this hotel is about 10 miles from Universal. They do have a free shuttle ONLY at 7am and 7pm, so if you miss it youre done. And they have conflicting information all over from their service and their signs. Me and my family ubered to Universal for dinner and called at 6pm to confirm the shuttle was coming at 7pm. The lady on the phone said be at platform 67 at 7:35pm for a late pick up. I didnt question it and wrote it down so we wouldnt miss it. We were there in sight of all the platforms up to 80 from 7pm to 7:45pm and the shuttle never came. We called the hotel and they didnt pick up for four calls, on the fifth try they finally picked up and said we missed the shuttle at 7pm and it was at platform 77. We were directly next to both platforms and the shuttle never came to either. I asked to speak to a manager and they hung up on me. They stranded us out there with an exhausted and over heated 3 year old. I couldn't believe they did this. That night we packed our stuff and switched over to the Endless Summer resort, they were amazing and helped us through it all. Never staying here again, it was atrocious.
It was upsetting seeing Applebee's gone as I was looking forward to dinner and drinks during my yearly stay. However, during breakfast it was great to see Michelle, we've seen her the past few years since we've been coming and it was great to see a familiar welcoming and friendly face. We always look forward to seeing the familiar staff here every year.

The pool and amenities are wonderful.
What truly makes this place such a find is the management and staff. Greg the manager couldn't be more personable and accommodating. Lisa at the Tiki bar is brilliant!.Always keeps things lively with great conversation. Judith, the Activity .Director.at the pool keeps children of.all ages( as well as adults) engaged with games and activities during the day. Jose from.security is always great fun even at the end of the evening when he is tasked with closing down the bar. Caroline from housekeeping made sure our room was clean.and.comfortable.
We can't say enough about this place...a true hidden gem...ànd why we call it out home away from home..
We stayed at Holiday Inn Lake Buena Vista for one week in March 2026- 2 adults & 2 children.
The hotel is a great location for Disney and within walking distance to some outlets and a few restaurants e.g Wendy’s, Longhorn Steakhouse.
The hotel provided free food vouchers for children to eat in Applebee’s- our kids enjoyed the food here.
The pool atmosphere was great- plenty of sunbeds, table tennis and a fantastic hot tub.
We had a family room which was spacious and cleaned daily with fresh towels- the rooms weren’t soundproof- families around us had v little respect for neighbouring rooms early in the morning - this was the only downfall of our stay.
This hotel was great value for our American holiday- we would definitely return.
Big room friendly staff!! Sorcial thanks to danny Melissa idiene and caroline for really making the stay special!! More dining options on site esp an IHG member program type would make it complete! Also, of course, a better park shuttle the staff was really helpful and kind though in terms of issues with the shuttle and anything needed! I will definitely stay again it was worth the value for the location and staff! Being close to disney and Disney springs is a plus! My kids and i really loved the caring atmosphere! Our rooms were kept clean the whole trip and towels stocked! The sprinkler at the pool is amazing!!
Beautiful location a great atmosphere for people with children. The rooms are a great size. It is definitely worth the Money rooms are clean. People and staff are super kind.!! I want to give a huge shout out to a few special people that made our trip memorable, melissa idiene and caroline for our special supriae in our room, and Pauls great customer service !! The only negative I have about this day would be the transportation to and from the park and DISNEY SPRINGS it runs very few and far between and I’m a single mom traveling with two kids. They don’t allow you to bring a double stroller.. what was really upsetting is the one man said yes one night and the next day someone said no while we were standing there and almost missed things I paid for in the parks waiting for uber! Otherwise the hotel is beautiful and very convenient would be so much better with a good shuttle service!! The hotel Staff was very kind though and did expresse sincere sadness about them, not allowing me on the bus with this double stroller either which was very nice.! It was such a kind gesture in a frustrating moment, especially because I know the shuttle isn’t really the hotels control and they are a separate entity, so the fact that the hotel reached out and was kind meant a lot!!
We stayed here for 17 nights, I can honestly say we had a great time. We booked as a base to do the parks but ended up at the bar most evenings. The bar tender Lisa is an amazing person so friendly and chatty she made our evening so lovely. The hotel is clean and tidy the security guy Jose is a lovely guy. We can’t wait to return. And the food that you can order anytime at the bar was great.
We had an amazing time at the Holiday Inn and Rafeal our bartender was amazing! The food and drinks were so good, we changed our plans and spent most of our time enjoying the property.
