Delamar Traverse City

Wonderful!!

For the price we originally agreed to pay (close to $600 a night with taxes and fees), the room was subpar. Worn furniture, bed creaked, coffee and tissue interested, etc. Also, the fitness center was lacking and without AC.

This is a $300/night or less room even during peak season. At $600/night I would have expected four to five star accommodations.

The manager, David made things right for us. All staff were pleasant.

My 10-year-old daughter and I stayed at the Delamar Traverse City for a mommy-daughter birthday trip, and we had an absolute blast! The location is perfect, making it easy to enjoy everything Traverse City has to offer. The outdoor pool looked amazing and was such a relaxing spot to unwind.
The only downside was that they no longer offer the continental breakfast, which was always such a wonderful perk of staying here in the past. Other than that, our stay was fantastic, and we made some great birthday memories together!

The restaurant at the hotel, called the Artisan, is a destination in itself. It is hands-down one of the top restaurants in Michigan. Starting with the entire friendly staff extremely knowledgeable about every dish, to the gorgeous presentation, farm-to-table ingredients plus the creativity and culinary expertise - every dish we had was spectacular. Spacious, clean modern rooms, gorgeous showers, our room overlooked the Bay!
PS The beautiful hotel itself sits on a beautiful beach - we happened to see a destination wedding while we were there - set outdoors. Just wonderful!!!!

Nice hotel, great grounds, staff is lovely and the food and drinks were great. Only issue was that the room had the headboard against the wall that was shared with elevator shaft and could hear everyone coming and going

Fantastic staff! Nice hotel & amenities and fabulous location. Great AM & PM shuttle drivers. You won't be disappointed.

Very hit or miss. Lovely hotel setting; room was noisy next to the elevator and a humming generator every few minutes; $271 dinner was spotty at best. Very good Walleye, $68 Wagyu Hanger steak WAY too salty.

Room shade was broke, carpet was dirty, and lake view was of parking lot. Would not recommend this hotel given the many issues.

Great location. And great dining experience.Rooms are large and comfortable. Free parking. Great outdoor space to relax, have a drink, watch the sunset. Highly recommend.

Our experience at the Delamar Traverse City was exceptional. This was a quick, but special trip to celebrate my Wife's 50th birthday. The staff was super friendly and accommodating from the moment we walked in the door, while the lobby and sprawling yet open hallway compelled us to peruse the guest options (i.e. heated indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, onsite highly rated restaurant, comfortable indoor and outdoor gathering areas, outdoor bar, great coffee stand, etc.). We were surprised by an upgraded room - corner suite due to our special celebration. The room was amazing - spacious, comfortable and with a great lake view, a full and half bath. The workout room is small and leaves a bit to be desired if you are used to a gym, but does the trick for a one-off cardio or strength training.
I would highly recommend the Delamar for a romantic getaway, a great place to stay for a wine tour on the Old Mission Point, a family trip, a work trip and more. This is a first rate place that is worth the slightly higher price vs. nearly competitive hotels.

While the public spaces of the hotel are quite nice, and appear to be recently updated, the guest rooms don't have the same quality and are a bit disappointing. There is some generally silly issues like lights on the headboard not having outlets to even plug into making them useless, drawers that keep opening because they aren't mounted squarely to the wall, and a mini-fridge who's door won't stay closed. Overall a bit disappointing and likely better options for the price in the area.

The room was very clean, staff was super friendly. Anything we needed was quick (towels,etc.) the pool is heated year round which was great for chilly nights

Fix bath with more storage. Had to put things on floor and had to physically move things all the time. Also no updates comfortable seating in room.

Loved this for location to downtown. It’s beautiful, peaceful and just great for everyone in my family. Would recommend for any and would choose everytime

Perfect location on the water with easy access to downtown either by courtesy shuttle or walking. Very quiet large rooms. Excellent restaurant on site with lovely big common areas.

Older hotel they tried to renovate and failed. For the price it needs many more guest amenities to be considered “high End”. However Desk Receptionists, Housekeeping all pleasant, professional and efficient. Cannot recommend this hotel for the price they charge.

We’re locals and love visiting the Delamar! The rooms are always clean and comfortable and hospitality is always top tier. We’re always greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. We enjoy the cafe for a quick bite and coffee and absolutely love the outdoor pool and sauna inside. On top of the amenities, the lobby is a cozy yet spacious place to hang out, have a glass of wine, or work. Board games are provided in the lobby lounge and it’s also a great spot to catch some gorgeous views of Lake Michigan.

Robes, towels, soaps, and the lotions in the rooms provided are wonderful. The rooms also come stocked with drinks and snacks you can purchase and also have a keurig with coffee and tea pods. 10/10 recommend staying!

Best place to stay in Traverse City. Gorgeous resort, amazing amentities, perfect location, friendly and helpful staff!
