Cons:

1. We couldn't check in because the rooms were NOT ready even as a BONVOY memeber.
2. Rooms were automatically locked at 11 am and we were locked out.
3. They could NOT honor my request

It could have been a much better stay without the controversy.
Pros:

I didn't eat breakfast, time wasn.t available, but the location was great.

Cons:

Nicole, the receptionist was very rude, we asked for a room on the top floor with a view, she gave us a room on the
second floor with and inside view and the smell of weed was very strong. Was not pleased at all, we had to walk so
to the room to the garage and then we had a problem with the parking gate which took and hour of my time, I had to take
a picture of my plates upon check in and she still inconvenienced us. The gate still wouldn't open.

Solid Courtyard that needs to expand its staff
Pros:

Very solid Courtyard in a great location, understaffed by hard-working folks who are great at their jobs but really need some additional support (consistent 20+ minute waits at the front desk even outside of peak hours are unacceptable and unfair to both employees and guests). Rooms are updated, pool is large and clean; wish the lobby restaurant/bar had wider hours. Known issues with room keys only working on rooms and not gym/pool need to be fixed, and the lack of recycling bins is disappointing. Particular shout-out to Nicole at the front desk and the Sunday evening lobby custodial staff.

Solid base for business in Decatur—great location for dining and hiking
Pros:

I stayed here for 4 nights on a recent business trip. We were meeting at a local wework and warehouse nearby, and the hotel served as a functional home base, though there is definitely room for improvement in the hospitality department.
Check-in was very fast, which I appreciated after a long flight. However, the receptionist lacked basic customer service skills and was a bit grumpy, which set a lukewarm tone for the stay.
The room and bathroom were "ok"—clean and functional for work, but nothing special. Note that housekeeping only comes every 2 days.
I’d recommend skipping the in-house food. It’s expensive and the quality doesn't match the price. The good news is that the hotel’s location is fantastic; we found several excellent dining options within walking distance that were much better value.
The hotel worked well for our commute to the local warehouse area. A huge plus was the proximity to Stone Mountain; we managed to fit in a hike up the mountain, which is quite close and a great way to decompress after work meetings.

Everyone from our front desk staff, your wait staff, to your cleaning staff was so friendly and accommodating🫂

I really enjoyed your accessibility to so many & various eateries within walking distance of your hotel! My favorite stop was Folk Art🧆👏🏾 I REALLY LOVED THEIR GRITS👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Overall, staying at your Atlanta/Decatur Marriott Hotel make helped to make my friend’s Celebration of Her Life even more Special!
I would love to stay here again when the area & would highly recommend it to my family and friends👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
