Hartford Hall on School Lane is a wonderful proper pub in Northwich. We chose it, because it was a half way point between Glasgow and Glastonbury and I am so glad we did. HH was gorgeous with tons of architectural charm. Warm and inviting with mismatched antique armchairs, and soft lamplight. The gentle, muffled hum of local conversation, the rich scent of cask ale and hearty comfort food, and friendly, unpretentious hospitality. Our room had been recenlty renovated and it was cozy and comfy. We slept with the window open. Think I had the best sleep of our trip so far. I absolutely loved it!

Great location and lovely rooms. We stayed for Sunday lunch also and we couldn’t fault the food at all. The team there was amazing and couldn’t do enough for us.

Family room was big! Bathroom great size too (missed having a bath in there, only a shower)

There was 3 of us in the room, I would have expected 6 cans not 4, only so each persons has option of sparking it still.
Toilet seat very wonky, slide to side when sat on and loo till holder no longer holds! Minor things but for price id expect them to be right.
Breakfast didn’t have many ‘child friendly’ options, no Nutella, marmite as topping options.
No child size portions either for breakfast.

Liked they accommodated request and when I needed to change, they did so.
No baths/ low / easy entry baths on ground floor- they had a roll top bath but the sides were so high that my mum couldn't get in! They did change the room for us but it was upstairs
