The Sphere Serviced Residences Managed by HII

We spent one night at this hotel in Manila while waiting for a flight. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was clean and well located. A great option for a short stay in Manila.

The Sphere is probably the best serviced apartment in Makati. The location is perfect -Velasquez Park( Salcedo Park) and Ayala Triangle are 5 minutes away by foot. There are so many restaurants to choose from within walking distance. Starbucks and George and Onie's restaurant are both on the ground foot of The Sphere. Two convenience stores ( 711 and Uncle John's ) across and beside the hotel.

My senior citizen parents stayed a total of ten days at The Sphere. Their one bedroom suite definitely was perfect for their needs. Its has been raining for days and I was afraid that my parents will feel bored and anxious. On the contrary, they enjoyed hanging in the spacious living room - my mom happily knitting while watching in their smart TV . Add to that is a well equipped kitchen and dining area. I almost forgot to mention that my Dad spent a lot of time in the hotel's gym doing light exercises.

Most of all I want to commend the staff of The Sphere. They were very accommodating. Always doing their best to satisfy the needs of their guests. From reservations, front desk and house keeping. They provided us with top notch service.

I will definitely book another stay here for my parents. Most likely in December.

We were given an upgrade on arrival so we ended up with a very spacious apartment. It was clean, the bed was comfortable & the shower was hot with good pressure- these are the 3 main things that are 'not negotiable' for me.
The staff were friendly, professional & efficient. I liked that the apartment is located very close to great restaurants, cafes & convenience stores. You are also within walking distance of the shopping district. It was great to receive free drinking water each day.

I like the location, all the staffs are nice and friendly, and very professional. The entire hotel is very clean and modern.

I had an excellent time at the Sphere. The staff was very professional and helpful. Room was big and comfortable. The gym and pool were also good. Location was excellent. I ate breakfast, included in the nightly rate, at the restaurant downstairs. A la carte but options were good and plenty to eat.
Two traveler's awareness issues that surprised me:
1) I booked my original reservation online. I had to stay an extra night and was charged 45% more for the extra night than for the original reservation. Lesson learned: book online and don't expect to pay the same rate if you have to extend.
2) They charge your credit card for a deposit when you check in. Nothing new or different there. The difference was that they charge a deposit PER NIGHT. I have never seen that before.

I stayed at this hotel recently and found it to be a practical and comfortable choice near the Makati CBD. The staff were polite and efficient, and they accommodated a complimentary room upgrade upon arrival. The upgraded room was noticeably spacious, well-maintained, and consistently clean. Location-wise, its proximity to the financial district makes commuting straightforward, and having a Starbucks on the ground floor is a useful convenience for morning coffee. Overall, it is a solid option for anyone needing a well-located place to stay in the area.

The room was fair and nice, however upon check out I was asked to pay for a penalty of 10,000 Pesos for the reason that the room smelled like somebody was smoking. I admitted that I smoked a piece but did it on the comfort room and not on the main accommodation. I asked for consideration and the least they can do is to reduce it to around 8000 pesos. I paid for 8000 pesos as a penalty. I just felt that it is not so fair for not giving a consideration nor a warning as I am staying here regularly every time we do events and seminars. Actually, I stayed here last week for 5 days and endorsed 19 cadets to stay in this hotel for 15 days, for the whole duration of our event. We are always giving good feedback and nominating the establishment as primary choice of accommodation for our participants. I could also remember last year that the room given to me had a problem with the shower drain. The drain was clogged and the water was stuck and accumulated all over the comfort room. I did not give a bad feedback during the time considering the kind of experience.

Es un departamento muy amplio con kichinet, hay agua de cortesía y con amenities. El desayuno se sirve en el local que está junto al hotel o se puede optar por un desayuno japonés en el piso en el que se encuentra la pileta. Bien ubicado en la zona de Makati que es el distrito financiero por lo que a la noche no hay casi movimiento. Personal muy atento. Piden garantía de unos 50usd con tarjeta de crédito que devuelven al hacer el check out.

Bathroom drainage was slow. Bathroom lighting was not enough.

The rooms we had were both spacious, clean, with cold ACs & strong water supply. The linens were clean and we all had a good sleep. We appreciate the eco friendly effort on toiletries and drinking water supplies.
The location was perfect for easy access on Ayala Triangle for the fun run event that my family participated in. Restaurants & cafe and convenient stores nearby were plus factors.
The gym facility was great that my son did not miss his daily routine.
Three minor concern we had:
1. The knob on both showers were difficult to turn.
2. The main doors caused loud sound when being closed.
3. The parking space was a bit small that we need to move the car so we could open the door and we need to fold the side mirror, else we couldnt fit in. But still we were thankful for the free use of parking during our stay.
Overall, our stay was wonderful.

✓ check-in is smooth. Front desk staff and even the doorman are all smiles
✓ the WOW factor is the room set up! Bday banner on the wall, free box of chocolate cake + bday card + elephant towels with googly eyes on queen size bed. Hope all kids and teens would get a surprise like this
✓ breakfast is amazing
✓ late check-out approved
✓ you can do laps in 9F pool. Beside it is a gym with commercial grade treadmills and equipments. I'd recommend this to my multi-sport friends
✓ Personally, I like the location. It sits very near malls, food outlets and Ayala Triangle Garden were I stared my 10k run in Ayala-Car-Free-Sunday
