Pros:
Very convenient location (near stores, university, central Plainfield)
Friendly/welcoming and cooperative staff reported by many guests
Attached restaurant praised
Good room size and strong shower pressure in some rooms
Top-floor preference and 12pm checkout noted positively
Cons:
Cleanliness issues: moldy smell, dirty carpets, bathroom cleanliness problems, cracked bathtub
Room problems: very hard beds, TVs/outlets not working, broken locks and tired-looking rooms
No free breakfast for many guests / extra charges for services
Inconsistent amenities: no change machine for washers/dryers, some gym equipment not working, poor pool communication
Occasional rude or unwelcoming manager/staff; some guests felt unsafe

Categories

Cleanliness
6.1
Multiple complaints about moldy smell, carpets and bathrooms not cleaned, cracked bathtub and general lack of housekeeping attention — cleanliness is below average.
Service
10
Numerous reviewers called staff welcoming, friendly and cooperative (helpful reception, top-floor requests honored). A few reports of an unwelcoming manager or rude staff are noted, but overall staff responsiveness was frequently praised and thus rated highly to offset other shortcomings.
Location
10
Repeatedly described as very convenient — close to stores, university, center of Plainfield and with an attached restaurant; location is a clear strength.
Room Quality
6.3
Mixed: some positive notes on room size and shower pressure, but many issues (very hard beds, non-functioning TVs, faulty outlets, tired-looking rooms, broken locks) reduce the score.
Amenities
7.1
Amenities exist (gym, pool, washer/dryer) but there are complaints: no free breakfast for many, coin/change machine lacking, some gym equipment not working and poor communication about pool — somewhat below neutral.
Value for Money
7.1
Several guests noted the price felt high for the condition (not 'classy'), plus extra charges for services that used to be included — modestly below the overall target.
Food and Beverage
7.3
Attached restaurant received positive mentions, but recurring complaints about breakfast not being free and lack of disposable utensils lower this area slightly.
Overall Experience
7.7
Overall mixed experience: strong location and many positive staff interactions balanced against cleanliness, room-condition and amenity shortcomings; average rating set to target.

Because it was so unbearable to even sleep on the bed me and my girlfriend left very early. The staff was very welcoming
Pros:

I liked that the property was close for what I needed it for.

Cons:

It smelled moldy. The bed was very hard.

Just decent
Pros:

The location as everything is there, nothing to worry about foods and stuffs

Cons:

The bedroom tv not functioning, water in shower so slow, and when we asked concierge if they had a disposable utensils they said they don’t have it when they do provide breakfast at the hotel.
