I had a pleasant stay at Thon Hotel Bristol Bergen. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was nice, and the location was perfect for exploring Bergen.
There were a few things that could be improved. I would have appreciated more cupboard/storage space and a better selection of toiletries, as only shampoo and hand wash were provided. The bed also moved around quite easily. I also found the duvet far too warm and not very breathable, which made sleeping uncomfortable.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel.
Great location!! Two min walk to light rail and very close to wharf area and funicular. An excellent breakfast and super helpful staff.

Good location, friendly and helpful staff and we even had sunshine.
Breakfast is very good (but also busy at peak times). We used the Egon restaurant next door for a meal in the evening.
There is a left luggage room for after check out at noon.
Comfortable, compact room. Everything easy to use. This chain does a good job with that kind of thing, in a modest way. They do love them some chartreuse and magenta.
To cool the room, we had to have the windows opened, which worked great, but a bit loud.
Clean, centrally located hotel within walking distance of the main attractions and public transportation.
Here are the pros and cons based on our experience.
Pros:
- The room was clean, quiet, and well equipped.
- The staff were helpful and friendly.
- Breakfast was delicious and fresh, with a good selection of hot and cold options.
- Coffee, tea, still and sparkling water were available in the lobby, and there was also a small bar next to the reception.
- Fast check-out.
Cons:
- Check-in took a very long time, apparently due to a system issue. Unfortunately, there was no communication about the delay.
- The mattress was soft and seemed to sink in the middle.
- There was no towel rack or hook near the shower.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay.
