Red Lion Hotel Harrisburg Hershey

This is probably one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Definitely my favorite with our kids. They have an indoor and outdoor pool, hot tub, playground, arcade, basketball and tennis court. Outdoor pool is HUGE. We could have made a vacation just at the hotel alone. It was in a stellar location. Next to a ton of stores and restaurants and fast food and very close to Hershey park and about an hour and a half from Crayola. Facilities were great. They were very full but very quiet. Very easy check-in and checkout process and the staff was always the friendliest and most accommodating. They were great about allowing us to use pool and playground during checkin and checkout too. The front desk staff from the week of 8/17 were all amazing at all times of day. Manager was amazing, personally introducing himself during our checkout and was so sweet with our kids; even giving them little toys to take home. Overall 10/10 experience.

Said no smoking but there was even smoking going on around the pool by a group of guys and they peed by the bushes behind the hotel . Ice machine on our floor had white particles in it obviously dirty. Can you refund us some money ? Smelled like someone was smoking Marijuana..

Two pools and a hot tub

The red lion never disappoints if you’re looking for a perfectly placed hotel with plenty of food/shopping nearby and only a short drive to Hershey without the Hershey resort process. The red lion is always a fun environment from the friendly staff and the bright lobby the rooms are very spacious with plenty of lighting and outlets clean and super comfortable beds.we’ve never had any issues staying there.There’s so much to do with the 2 pools, Playgrounds bar, patio, game room and jacuzzi. We especially love catching up with GM Randy he’s always making sure his guests are cared for and his staff is working to make you stay the most memorable and fun experience.

We truly enjoyed our stay and created beautiful family memories that we will cherish. I always enjoy staying here. Everyone is so kind and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Whenever I need assistance, they are always willing to help and point me in the right direction. I always have a great experience here and look forward to coming back each time. My family and I have been going to Hershey for 40 plus years and have always stayed at the red lion hotel in Harrisburg PA. This hotel has the most amazing general manager Randy he goes above and beyond to meet every expectation of his guests. He is very warm kind understanding and friendly. The hotel itself is a getaway with the two pools the hot tub restaurant basketball and tennis courts and can’t forget the playground for the kids. I have a large family and most of the years we have had 15-18 family members staying at this hotel and we have never once had an issue with this hotel, there have been plenty times I have left my valuables out in plain sight and never were they touched the staff are also kind people working there. This hotel has been part of my family tradition and can’t wait to continue spending our vacations at the Red Lion Hotel!!! Highly recommend this hotel . My kids can’t wait to go every year !

My family and I have been staying at the Red Lion Hotel in Harrisburg for several years, and we truly can't imagine staying anywhere else. We often travel with a large group, sometimes over 20 people. Every single visit has been beyond exceptional. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted with genuine hospitality that makes you feel like family.
One of the biggest reasons we continue coming back is the outstanding staff. Randy, the General Manager, goes above and beyond to ensure every guest has a wonderful experience. His kindness, professionalism, and dedication to making everyone feel welcome truly set this hotel apart. The entire staff is just as incredible. They're always friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient. Whether we need extra towels, blankets, toiletries, or anything else, they're quick to help with a smile.
The hotel itself is always spotless. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and consistently cleaned to perfection. You can tell the housekeeping staff takes great pride in their work, and it never goes unnoticed.
There is also so much to do without ever leaving the property. The indoor and outdoor pools are absolutely beautiful, well-maintained, and always sparkling clean. Our family loves spending time on the volleyball court, tennis courts, and relaxing on the outdoor patio. The playground is perfect for younger kids, giving them plenty of space to play safely while the adults unwind nearby. The arcade room, Wii gaming area, and table tennis tables are always a hit with both kids and adults, making it easy to stay entertained no matter the weather.
The on-site restaurant and bar are another huge bonus. The breakfast is always delicious with plenty of options to start the day, and dinner is just as enjoyable after a long day of activities. It's incredibly convenient not having to leave the hotel for a great meal.
One of the best parts about staying here is the location. It's close to so many attractions and activities, making it the perfect home base for a family vacation. Adventure sports, shopping, restaurants, and Hersheypark are all just a short drive away, so there's never a shortage of things to do.
What really makes the Red Lion Hotel special is the atmosphere. Whether you're traveling as a couple, with young children, or with a large family like ours, there's something for everyone. The property is beautifully maintained, the amenities are fantastic, and every member of the staff works hard to make your stay enjoyable.
After staying here for years, I can honestly say the Red Lion Hotel has become a tradition for our family. It consistently exceeds our expectations, and we leave with wonderful memories every single time. If you're looking for a clean, welcoming, family-friendly hotel with outstanding service and endless amenities, I cannot recommend the Red Lion Hotel in Harrisburg highly enough. We can't wait for our next visit!

There were plenty of things to do here, definitely helpful in case the weather wasn’t ideal. The staff was outstanding and so very helpful!!!
