Be careful.

I stayed at the Four Seasons in Athens and, unfortunately, €1,500 in cash was stolen from my bag during my stay.

I fully acknowledge that I did not leave the money in the safe, and I take responsibility for that mistake. But I also never imagined that at a hotel of this level, and with the Four Seasons name, I would have to worry about money being stolen from my personal belongings.

What made the experience even more disappointing was the hotel’s response. Rather than making me feel that such a serious incident was being treated with genuine concern, the hotel completely distanced itself from any responsibility.

I am not writing this review to avoid responsibility for my own mistake. I am writing it to warn other guests: do not leave cash, valuables, or anything important outside the safe — not even inside your personal luggage or bag.

When you pay Four Seasons prices, you are not only paying for a beautiful property and good service. You are also paying for a certain level of trust and security. After this experience, that trust is completely gone for me.

A deeply disappointing and unacceptable experience from a hotel of this reputation.

The best hotel in Athens, but not like other Four Seasons.
Pros:

Cozy place with a great location, and you don’t need to go outside the hotel.

Cons:

Having visited many Four Seasons hotels, I must say this one is different. You don’t get the same feeling you do at other Four Seasons hotels. It’s simply a good 4 or 5-star hotel, and that’s all. Is it worth that money? No. But is it the best hotel in Athens? Yes.

Beautiful place but not worth the price
Pros:

Very beautiful hotel, there is a feeling that you are on a Greek island even though the hotel is about a 40 minute drive from Athens. The pools are beautiful, the sunbeds are comfortable and the service is efficient. We stayed at the hotel at the height of the season and there was a feeling that the hotel was not full.
The restaurants are good, not all of them are excellent or worth the price they charge. The alcohol is relatively inexpensive.
We took a room in the Mastica building, which is the newer and more central building. The room is beautiful, not very big and the bathroom is not very big either.
There are no extra treatse
The hotel doesn't offer anything extra, everything at an extra cost, other than a rich and excellent breakfast. In the room , no beach bag, flip flops or anything else, the slippers in the room are the simplest and most basic. This comment, since it is not clear why the place is so expensive, excessively compared to other places in the world that offer the same.
The price doesn't justify coming here.

Close to perfection
Pros:

Hard to say for certain, but this might be the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The garden bungalow (a spacious one) was fantastic, and the pool and beach areas are breathtaking. Service was classic Four Seasons — as good as it gets — and the dining was wonderful throughout.

It’s expensive, both to stay and to eat, and that’s fine up to a point… but €48 for a Vesper? You do get what you pay for, so it balances out in the end. Nobu was perfection, and breakfast is hilariously good — the bakery and patisserie spread alone is worth the trip.

Hard to fault.
