Comfortable good hotel
Pros:

The location was perfect and receptionists very helpful. Breakfast was also varied with lots of different items

Cons:

The bed was not so comfortable and the cleaners did not leave sugar and coffee several times

Really nice property.
Pros:

The room was great. Keep in mind that all hotels in Norway didnt have twin beds far enough away from each other. They were comfortable.

Lovely stay
Pros:

Lovely stay at the Thon Hotel. It is located near to the main street and a short walk to the bus stop for the airport and around the town. The rooms are small but are fine. The bed is comfy, it has a mini fridge, a safe, and a bathroom with underfloor heating and a powerful shower. The room was a little hot for me personally but I found the radiator and switched it off. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing, hot and cold food with so much choice.

Budget hotel, budget amenities and service.
Pros:

Visiting Tromso for three nights we stayed at the Thon Hotel for two of them, the first night, then away for an excursion on the second night and then returning to the Thon on the third night.
On night one we had what appeared to be called a superior room as it had shower gel and a coffee machine. A single bedroom with a double bed squeezed in so tight one side was up against a radiator so you couldn't walk around it and with no bedside table or light on that side.
On booking out for our excursion staff told us we could leave our belongings in a luggage room until we returned for night three.
On our return, even though we spoke to the same staff, we were told we had no room booked, the booking having been cancelled. Despite our appeal that this was not correct and that we had paid for a room it was a case of "computer says no" end of story. After some phone calls and emails our tour operator sent Thon their confirmation email and proof of payment and we could book in. No apology given for what they described as a system error. Our room was slightly larger, with walls stained with some kind of liquid, a couple of tea bags and a coffee sachet were available. The window looked out onto a brick wall about a metre away. Room was very hot with no obvious thermostat to find a comfy temperature.
On the plus side, beds were comfy, the hot and cold buffet breakfast was good and plentiful and the hotel was conveniently situated in the town centre.
