Room and location were fine. When I booked the room you put on your web that breakfast was included in the price but that was not the case, I did however feel you had misrepresented this hotel . They explained that I would have had to pay more with breakfast.

Cons:

A very busy dining room which caused long wait time.

Det ligger helt perfekt. Bästa gatan Granville street. Dom har en restaurant som har jätte god frukost och middag. Väldigt hjälpsam personal. Sköna sängar.

Pros:

The location and overall look of the hotel exceeded expectations for a Holiday Inn.

Cons:

I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled, particularly after the fact.

During a one-night stay in Canada, at approximately midnight, we discovered what appeared to be a bed bug crawling on my niece. We were traveling with two individuals with special needs, making the experience of having to gather our belongings and change rooms in the middle of the night especially disruptive and distressing.

We never asked for our room to be comped. The hotel offered to comp the room because of what we had experienced, presenting it as the least they could do under the circumstances. At no point during our conversation at the hotel were we told that this offer was contingent upon a later inspection confirming the presence of bed bugs.

Now, after the fact, we are being told otherwise.

That lack of transparency is actually more upsetting to me than the original incident. Regardless of what a subsequent inspection found, we provided photographic evidence of what we encountered. We did not make a scene, demand compensation, or try to take advantage of the situation. We simply wanted our family moved somewhere we felt safe so we could get through the remainder of our one-night stay.

If the compensation was truly contingent upon inspection results, that should have been clearly communicated to us that night. Changing or qualifying the terms afterward feels misleading and has seriously affected my trust in how this hotel and IHG handle legitimate guest concerns.

At this point, the compensation itself is more trouble than it is worth. What I find most disappointing is the way the situation was communicated and handled. A difficult incident could have been resolved with honesty, transparency, and good customer service. Instead, the handling of it afterward has left a far worse impression than the original inconvenience.
