Satisfactory stay.
Pros:

Clean and reasonably comfortable. The staff the day we checked out were really great. Appreciated being able to leave our luggage. Only one night stay, cost same as we’d paid at another far superior hotel. We won’t stay again.

Cons:

Noisy. Check-in staff was very abrupt and unfriendly.

It did the job
Pros:

The elephant in the room is the community health centre in the next block. This attracts the homeless and drug dependents. However, it is not in sight of the hotel and there are no homeless people camped outside. The hotel is well placed for the sights and downtown and it did the job. Lifts in reception are too small and very busy but there are other lifts dotted around if you look for them. Meals in the outsourced restaurant were good, and the staff were very pleasant. The hotel was very clean.

Checked all the boxes for a luxury chain hotel, and the location was unbeatable.
Pros:

Loved the location and vibe. Staff was super efficient and accommodating. Room was deliciously crisp and fresh.

Cons:

Well, nothing to be done, but parking was a little tight in the garage. But appreciated having a space for our stay!

Cons:

Holiday Inn were very accomodating. Allowed us a late check out, and stored our luggage.

Maybe supply 1 or 2 more coffee pods.

Maybe stay at a different Holiday Inn location
Pros:

While the hotel itself was very nice, the surrounding area was horrible. The website says family friendly, but I wouldn’t want my children seeing drug addicts smoking crack and homeless people sleeping or passed out on the sidewalks getting out of the hotel to get into the city. The bellman Tony was absolutely fantastic, very friendly and helpful with a smile always on his face. He was the best part of the hotel. The beds and pillows were very comfy and you are close to the hop on hop off stop. This hotel was booked as part of an Apple vacation package and I certainly wouldn’t stay there again. The hospital is 4 blocks from here, so maybe that’s why all the drug users are on that route.
