I stayed for two nights and loved the hotel's location and overall experience. Highly recommend for solo travelers and for others too.

Nothing really
The location is the amazing! You are walking distance to so many sights and restaurants. The metro is nearby and there are bus stops everywhere. The neighborhood is safe and clean. The hotel is very well maintained and the staff are lovely. The included breakfast is delicious with so many options and we never had trouble finding a table for our family of 5.
My only complaints are the size of the room and windows. Our 12 year old was in the superior room with us and we could barely walk around. Our oldest two shared another room and their beds were actually touching. We were also sad not to have windows to the outside. We looked out to the indoor courtyard where breakfast is, so no fresh air for us.
But despite these drawbacks, I would still recommend Cecil. It is a nice, reasonably priced hotel in a fabulous location.
We loved the location and the breakfast.
Proximity to harbour, central train station, and trams was excellent. There are plenty of conveniences and cafes nearby too and easy to find the hotel.
Superb breakfast selection to cater to everyone's needs, which provided a great start to each day.. Food was always stocked up throughout the morning and staff were always helpful and attentive to any questions.
Room was quite awkward in its overall set-up. Whilst this is slightly picky, I did find the towels very thin and old, which didn't provide good absorption after a shower.
Everything was just perfect. The breakfast and the room were so comfortable and cozy. The location was very convenient too.

It was the perfect hotel for our two days Oslo visit.
The room was well appointed and the bathroom big and modern.
The breakfast buffet in a lovely setting was just fantastic.

The location is perfect. You can walk around the city to all attractions. Great breakfast. Rooms were clean.
The ventilation system is a mess. You can’t turn it off or even to a lower speed. It blows your had off especially if you get a room were the bed it’s in the direction of the “wind”.
