Location trumped value.
Pros:

There was one staff member (concierge?) we appreciated for two good recommendations for local places to eat.

Cons:

$200 more expensive each day and only having location as a justification. Understaffed with people who were responsive but not engaging or willing to volunteer information. My sense was entire experience at hotel was example of efficient, effective but never engaging.

For paying $500 a night I expected better quality rooms but I get were the location is its a heavily trafficked hotel. T
Pros:

The location is perfect , especially if you like American history . Next to all the sight seeing stuff and easy access to the subway to get around. The staff was super friendly and helpful trying to figure out the best way to get to the game . The mattresses were comfortable

Cons:

The property is older and is due for a complete overhaul, especially the pool and bathrooms. Bothe rooms we had had paint peeling in the actual tub.
