Our stay at Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah was nothing less then exceptional.
From the moment we arrived, the entire team made us feel genuinely welcomed as not like guests, but like family 🫶.

We had the pleasure of staying in a beautiful 3-bedroom villa, which was simply amazing by waking up every day to sunshine and amazing views made the experience even more special.

The food experience was great in both Ocean Blue Beach House & Bar and Barouk Restaurant by delivered top-quality delicious breakfasts to perfectly prepared Iftars, everything exceeded expectations.

A very special thank you to Dexter, Head of F&B, whose leadership shows in the quality of service and huge appreciation as well to Nyima, Satish, Shansinle, Shiekh, Ahmed, Ali, and John as each of you contributed to making our every meal and interaction memorable.

Chef Sumit Yadav deserves recognition for consistently delivering excellent cuisine - best omelette 🙂 .

Housekeeping was also great and thanks to Anayet, ensuring everything was always perfectly maintained.

And a special mention to Ahmad Yamout as being truly one of the best, always going above and beyond with a smile.

This team doesn’t just provide service but they create an experience for us to instead of being here 6 days, we ended up being total of 14 days and with their warmth, professionalism, and all the help, they made our stay unforgettable.
We will definitely be coming back - we highly recommended to anyone visiting Salalah!

We spent an amazing 7 days long winter vacation, in February 2026, at Crown Plaza hotel in Salalah. Although we were a bit without having to much expectation on the area, since it was for the first time in Oman but already spent a few vacations on various exotic spots around Indian ocean, we heavily enjoyed the experience at Crown Plaza. The hotel provides a couple of strong benefits to its tourists, here I have captured some. The great location, right on the beach with an adequate green area – very well maintained, scattered with palm trees, in between the hotel and ocean provides superb images. The beach arrangement is perfect with enough space, between sunbeds and umbrellas, to have some privacy among tourists, the combination of beach (very long and wide enough), sand (not rocky but smooth of touch) and ocean (clean water, not very big waves) is perfect. The restaurant (we had all inclusive package) is located perfectly right on the beach (with lots of seats so never crowded) therefore we experienced very nice scenery during breakfast, lunch and dinner; I consider the restaurant easily finds a seat in top 5 great locations we have ever been for eating on the sea side. At the end, maybe the strongest point for Crown Plaza is represented by the quality of staff/service and believe me, we are quite demanding in this respect. The vast majority of the staff I noticed to be comprised of foreign personnel coming from Filipinas, India, Bangladesh to name just a few, with very good English skills, providing high quality service throughout the areas of Crown Plaza. Everybody wears a smile and is very willing to help, from the reception where we were nicely helped by Darshana, to the pool bar where chatting with Hans was very interesting (even when we moved behind the villas for Ramadan 😊 ) and completing with John in the restaurant very attentive to our needs and the chef from Agra preparing delicious Indian style omelets during the breakfast only to name few of them. To sum up the entire staff of the hotel gave us the impression of very high professional standard and we enjoyed it!

We were on vacation at the hotel. I can say that the service staff is wonderful and very responsive. Of course, no one is local, but all people from other countries. This, in my opinion, raises the level of service, not the other way around.
Due to the Gulf War (USA-Iran), the tour operator had to extend our stay by an additional 4 days. The hotel staff were very adequate and acted very quickly and accurately.
The food was great.
And the beach is an idyll. Wide and long. It was quite wavy, but we still didn't expect a smooth transition to the water.
It is noticeable that there is water and all the green areas are well maintained.
I didn't understand what kind of water was flowing from the sinks, but even if it was from a desalination plant, it didn't have any salty taste. Of course we used bottled water, which was available in sufficient quantities both in the room and in the restaurant.
Due to Ramadan, the consumption of all alcohol was regulated by hours and zones, but we knew about this and have experience.

Perfect family Holiday. Enjoyed maximum comfort and relaxation in this resort, even though it is the holy month of Ramadan it gave our Holiday even more authentic atmosphere. Specially I would praise the food, great, tasty authentic middle Eastern cuisine brought to perfection.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming and professional, and the hotel grounds were beautifully maintained. We especially enjoyed the long walks along the oceanfront — the beach is stunning and perfect for peaceful strolls at any time of day.

Our meals in the Ocean Blue Restaurant were delicious. The buffet had a great variety of fresh, flavorful dishes every evening, and the service was consistently attentive and friendly.

We also went on a desert excursion during our stay, which was a memorable experience — the landscape is breathtaking and it added an exciting adventure to our holiday.

Overall, we felt totally relaxed and well looked after throughout our stay. This was a truly enjoyable and refreshing vacation, and we would highly recommend Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah to anyone looking for a pleasant beachside getaway.

Horrible!!! Never more.
No ice cream or paid. The hotel is smeel faul.
No drinks (soft) on the pool beach.
If we compare with Fanar complex, it is realy crazy!

We were revisiting the area after being there last about 30 years ago. Mass tourism from certain areas has spoiled it
Nice suite with two small balconies with sea view All kept clean and tidy by the lovely Faysal who also decorated our bed with flowers for my birthday.
On half board with meals in Ocean Blue. Breakfasts very good sitting outside overlooking the beach and sea. Staff very good.
Evening meals mediocre. Lots of stew type food. Food in covered tureens only warm and limp because of the condensation caused giving everything a steamed effect. Did have some nice fish one evening when it was grilled outside on a bbq.
Not very good at refilling items that had been finished. No dietary information on anything.
Drinks very expensive. About £60 plus 20% tax for a standard bottle of wine so didn’t bother with that.
Nice beach area and plenty of sun beds. Nice grounds to walk around. Could do with more umbrellas.
Went on a trip up the coast to some old towns and also round Salalah with a local guide/driver arranged by the office on the ground floor of the hotel.
Pleased to have returned to see what was going on but would not return again.

The best hotel in Oman. Only few peoples, private on the beach,very good kitchen. And the best room cleaner is Jakir. View his make bed.

We felt extremely comfortable at the Crowne Plaza. A big thank-you goes to Kabir and Jakir, they prepared our room perfectly every single day.
The kitchen crew and the service team never showed how demanding their work really is and pampered the guests daily, always greeting everyone with a smile.
The lifeguards at the beach also deserve great praise, as they consistently warned guests about strong currents and rough waves.
It is also worth mentioning that the hotel does not offer any animation programmes, allowing guests to fully enjoy the peace and quiet.
We can highly recommend this hotel.

The location is amazing, close to the beach and with an amazing sunset.
This is a quiet place with great personnal who try to make your experience even better
Room are a bit old but fully furnished but the bed are big, desk is available, and everything is good

I stayed here for 3 nights with a group. I was told I had been given a good room because I had a tiny balcony with a high wall and rusty steel door but the view was of the restaurant block. Inside it was fine for sleeping but the dark green/brown decor was pretty unattractive.

The hotel is situated on a spectacular, long, white sand beach but the red flag was flying throughout our stay indicating that one should not swim in the sea. We weren't sure why but the waves were very powerful.

The buffet restaurant was situated on the beach but furnished with cheap, metal/plastic deckchair-type seating. The buffet food was unremarkable. The house white wine (said to be Chardonnay) was orange and undrinkable - oxidised - although people said the red was OK. Service at table was slow.

I wouldn't recommend this place. Apart from the lovely white sand on the public beach, it was a pretty tacky, US-style hotel.

We spent a lovely five days here. The restaurant overlooked the beautiful private beach. We enjoyed the variety and quality of the breakfast buffet. We dined once at the evening buffet also which was equally delicious. All staff from the driver who picked us up at the airport, reception, the well-being Spa, restaurant, pool and beach staff were very friendly, polite, helpful and were proactive in making sure our stay was very comfortable. A special shout out to housekeeping and in particular Faysal who made sure our room was not only clean and well stocked up but surprised us with the bed makeover with fresh flowers one day, this put a big smile on an old couple, thank you :-)
Reception did not hesitate to change our initial room to a part of the hotel that was more to our liking. It was quiet, very comfortable and spacious, with all the facilities you would expect, with an added bonus of a balcony.

I had a mixed experience during my stay at Crowne Plaza Resort in Salalah.

On the positive side, the room service and cleanliness were excellent. A special thanks to Eyakub and his team – they truly made the experience better with their effort and professionalism. The property itself is stunning – located right by the sea, it’s perfect for an evening walk and has a very relaxing atmosphere.

On the downside, the reception staff and kitchen service were disappointing. The service was not up to the mark and lacked the attentiveness expected from a resort of this level. Adding to that, the toilets clogged and water overflowed from the commode. When I reported this, the receptionist smiled and mentioned it is a known issue that happens in all rooms, which was very unprofessional and unacceptable.

Overall, while the property and housekeeping team were commendable, the poor service at reception, kitchen, and the unresolved maintenance issues made the stay far less enjoyable than it could have been.

Fantastic stay! Breakfast was amazing (perfect cooked to order Eggs Benedict), the gym and relax area were brilliant, and all the staff were welcoming and attentive. Couldn’t have asked for more!

Big shout out to Anayet! Room service was exceptional, always professional, friendly, and clean!

I stayed here for about a month and the stay was very pleasant.

The House Keeper by the name of Dhammi was very kind, helpful and super friendly to us, she made the experience of our stay better. Because of her, I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel overall offers a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service from our housekeeping lady, Dhammi She was incredibly helpful and professional, address guest needs—whether it was quick room refreshes or thoughtful touches like extra pillows. and also waiters from ocean blue Simon, Mark, Puja and chiefs were professional and helpful.
