Great location, close to the town of Thorne and the train station

All really good, except I asked for 3 separate beds. The manager was excellent and offered to get a third bed brought in to the room. I decided that we could cope with the two beds.
The ventilation in the bathroom was quiet and effective so that the mirror hardly steamed up after taking a bath. A pleasant surprise, rarely encountered in my experience. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We appreciated that the sound level in the restaurant in the evening was comfortably low so we could converse without having to raise our voices to hear each other.
The door closing mechanism speeds up for the last 150mm before fully closing, so it slams by default. It needed deliberate intervention to stop it slamming, so as not to disturb other guests.

Room was clean, comfortable and had everything I would expect of this type of stay. The location suited perfectly - we had family to visit nearby. The hotel is certainly not a destination itself.
The check in process isn't obvious. Conveniently I had been before so new what to do. The biggest disappointment for me was that the electric car chargers were out of order. It would have been convenient to charge while staying there. I'm not sure if the hotel is repsonsible for these or not - they're in their carpark.
Das Hotel ist sehr gut ausgestattet und sauber, die Betten sind bequem und die Badezimmer sauber und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Die Lage zur Autobahn ist sehr praktisch als Zwischenübernachtung für lange Fahrten und das dazugehörige Pub bietet sehr gute Speisen und Getränke zu guten Preisen. Ich werde auf jeden Fall das Hotel wieder buchen.
Es stört mich etwas, dass auch dieses Hotel dem Hundetrend folgt. Sonst war alles sehr gut.

Having to stay in a disabled room. This was neither specified when I booked it or explained when we arrived. It wasn't until we walked into the shower room that we were severely disappointed. Not the romantic weekend we had imagined and it ruined our trip. Had I known or had been advised I wouldn't have booked it under any circumstances. It was equivalent to staying in a care home or hospital. I did complain and was told nothing else was available. Totally unacceptable.
