Nothing
Really nice hotel. Staf very friendly. Food really good.
Nothing really
Great location and price
Rooms could do with an update
We liked, the clean room and large comfortable bed.
Good car parking and pool looked very inviting.
Men constantly standing by door smoking- unpleasant to walk through and intimidating for females on their own. Old and broken kettle should have been replaced without us having to report issue. Hair dryer old and needed replacing.
Asked for a quiet room in advance and were by placed by the doors to the stairs. Extra fan runs constantly in bathroom and we had an unpleasant outlook with more sounds of extractors.
No lift to help with bags to first floor.
Some of the Gym equipment needs updating
Breakfast is on the expensive side
Breakfast was a bit too traditional English for my pallet , but not bad , dinners were excellent
Very good location for my business trip.Food was great
I noticed that the portions were smaller than the last time I visited
The fish was smaller and less chips on the plate but very good food
The hotel looked pretty modern on arrival. Hallway and restaurant were nice ! Staff were pretty friendly and breakfast was good.
Unfortunately there are a few reasons we won’t likely return to this hotel.
Firstly parking was not great ! There must have been some event on at the hotel and it was very difficult to find a parking space. Secondly you have to pay to use the hotel car park. £12 however you get a voucher for 50% off. This still isn’t great and was disappointed with this.
There are no lifts in this hotel. Not great when I have a baby who uses a pushchair. I did say to the receptionist but she said for the type of room we had booked it had to be upstairs ( they did offer to help us take the pram up stairs however it’s not great when your up and down with a baby)
The room was very warm. We put the air conditioning on as soon as we were in the room however it was very stuffy and part of the reason we did not sleep well.
The plugs next to the bed (they are not right next to the bed, quite a distance away) are not modern uk plugs. I have an iPhone 14 and could not plug my phone in which is a standard plug.
The bed is very uncomfortable. You could feel everything underneath and I had an awful sleep.
Such a shame as staff were overall very friendly and food was great but too many things going on here.
Great facilities. Nice little pool and sauna were a bonus.
Good big bedroom with the chosen paid upgrade. Good breakfast.
Room was straightened up until I asked after my third night, and then not really done very well. Clean enough just little things. Bed not made properly stuff not put back to their original position.
Also one irritating request that no workwear in the breakfast area in the morning. Pretty inconvenient as anyone up first thing is obviously going to work so I doubt anyone would think anything of it. So I was forced to change twice in the morning. A little unnecessary and annoying
