Brilliant hotel, great location and wonderful service
From the moment I arrived, I had an exceptional experience. The hotel was truly luxurious, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The rooms were spotless and thoughtfully designed, with comfortable bed that made for a great night’s sleep.
Every detail reflected quality and care, creating a relaxing and upscale atmosphere. Whether traveling for business or leisure, I highly recommend this hotel. I would absolutely stay here again and look forward to my next visit!
Beautiful hotel with multiple options onsite. Enjoyed hanging out by the pool listening to the DJ! Was also walking distance to many shops & restaurants.
Everything was great but the water pressure was a little weak. Sometimes during a shower the water would stop coming out completely but would eventually start back up. Definitely not a deal breaker though!
Beautiful updated property with historic and timeless feel to it.
I loved it, I truly don’t have anything negative to say about it.
Comfortable, great location, nice pool and fitness center
The entire 7th floor was without water (showers, sink, etc.) numerous times throughout my stay
It was comfortable and clean. The decor was upscale.
It was a bit busy and loud.
A beautiful upscale hotel in the heart of the historic district. Most things are an easy walk. Everything is so clean and neat and, as strange as it is to say, it smells great. Really nice pool area for cooling off on hot days. Would definitely stay here again.
We chose this hotel due to numerous reviews we read online related to location, service, ambience, etc. and we were not disappointed. The entire staff were just lovely and a huge shout out to Dwight the front house manager who went above and beyond helping me with a booking issue I was having. The rooftop pool and bar were a huge benefit to beat the heat. Our room was spacious and well appointed. We will surely stay here again and thank you for a wonderful experience.
Great location! Easy check in and check out. Beautiful property and so close to the things the we love to do and places we love to eat. Highly recommend!
Exceptional service from the moment we arrived.
I’ll just start by saying after my Charleston trip I spent a few days in another location/destination and the entire time I was wishing I could go back to Mills House!
I loved the spacious size and thoughtful layout of the room. It included an umbrella, robe, slippers, and a sink beside the mini fridge, along with plenty of comfortable seating: chairs by the TV, a couch, and a stool at the counter. The room was exceptionally clean and felt wonderfully relaxing to return to after a hot, busy day exploring outside.
I also appreciated how easy the valet parking system was to use, with an online request tool that made retrieving my car very convenient.
The pool area was gorgeous and inviting, and I especially loved that fresh, cold water was always available for guests without having to wait at the bar. The bartenders were friendly and welcoming though. The World Cup matches were playing and that was great too!
The hotel restaurant was phenomenal. The food was delicious, and the beautiful patio made the experience even better. I also learned about the history of the hotel during a city tour, which added another interesting dimension to my stay.
The only downside was that the pool was somewhat small, so there were only so many lounge chairs, and they were often occupied throughout much of my stay. Overall, though, the hotel was beautiful, comfortable, and exceptionally well maintained. It provided the perfect retreat after long days in the Charleston summer heat.
The two rooms were great, but was confused by the pricing
Top choice for a charleston stay
Location was perfect. Property was beautiful.
Pool area was very busy, we could not get a sunbed - ever!
Noisy guests one evening but was dealt with well by the hotel staff
We chose this hotel because of location and the fact that it had a beautiful pool. We also like the historical vibe if the design. The hotel has every amenity you could want as a family or traveling alone. The guest room was beautiful, clean, and love the design. Housekeeping was always on point. There was a ticking happening from the bathroom maybe from the older plumbing but it didn't keep me from sleeping or anything. Overall beautiful property and location. Will be back!
Mills House is a perfect location in the middle of Charleston historic district. The city is very walkable, so you park your car when you arrive and do not get in it until you are leaving.
The hotel is charming and beautiful outdoor spaces. The rooms are very comfortable and affordable. The hotel is very clean, and the staff is great and always there to help in every way possible.
It has a great outdoor pool with a lot of space for relaxing and enjoying the sun.
Outstanding!!! This is our go to hotel for every trip to Charleston
Loved the pool and the bar the restaurant and cafe were also amazing
My room was hot there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom
