Bra hotell för övernattning nära flygplatsen
Pros:

Hotellet ser inte vackert ut utifrån men är uppfräschat ordentligt inuti. Mycket trevlig personal. Vi kom med tåg (station Muratella, 5-10 min promenad på lugn gata) redan kl 10 och fick lämna in bagaget för att kunna ta tåget in till Roms centrum.
Gratis poolhandduk och badmössa. Fint poolområde.
Restaurangen helt ok. Vi åt middag och frukost.
Bra hotell om du har en tidig flight morgonen efter. Shuttlebuss för tio euro per person till flygplatsen, eller tåget för hälften.

Kahvaltı iyi, akşam bahçede oturmak keyifliydi.

Cons:

Eğer bu otelde kalacaksanız özel araç ile gelinmesi bence mecburi. Şehir merkezine ulaşmak için 2 bazen 3 vesait değiştirdik. Bu yönden araçsız olanların burayı tercih etmesi bana mantıklı gelmiyor. Saat 10.00 da başlayan shuttle 10 Euro kişi başı, ücretsiz olması gerektiğini düşünüyorum. Shuttle ise tam şehir merkezine bırakmıyor. Yine vesait kullanmanız gerekli bir durağa gidiyorsunuz. Kısacası ulaşım yönü 1 puan.

la chambre est d'un grandeur très acceptable pour deux personne. air conditionné et machine à glace +++.

Cons:

Piscine ne pouvant pas accueillir tous les clients. Mon fils n'a pas eu la chance de se baigner durant le séjour de 5 nuits.
Autre point, la réceptionniste voulait me faire payer un souper livré à notre chambre la veille au soir. Mais repas consommé la veille à l'extérieur de l'hôtel. On m'a demandé des preuves de quelque chose que je n'avais jamais payées ou consommé avec mon relevé bancaire en ligne et j'ai trouvé cela très déplacé. Je n'est jamais eu ce genre de demande dans aucun hotel. Par la suite, elle voulais voir la journée d'avant en preuve... alors que j'avais tout payé à chaque repas.

Poor quality food and unkempt surroundings
Pros:

Note, this is not the first time my family and I have stayed in a Holiday Inn hotel around the world. But it will be the first and LAST time we stay in the Holiday Inn in Fiumicino Rome.
The hotel is in a serious need of updating and deep clean. For example, the carpets in the corridors are full of stains. Disgusting. 
But the main reason for making a poor scoring is the restaurant. The mornings of 27/06, 28/06 we had breakfast. A poor breakfast. The scrambled eggs were COLD, the other hot foods were COLD. My granddaughters had chosen bacon which were cold and therefore more greasy, so impossible for them to eat. In general unsatisfactory. Therefore as the situation was the same the following morning, they opted for cereals, not their first choice and therefore found it difficult to eat. Breakfast later in the centre of Rome went down really well.
This is a follow on from a complaint my son-in-law and myself made about an error made by one of the hosts about the children's menu for which they were obliged to give us a refund. The host on the first evening told us there was no children's menu, so we had to order from the main menu. In fact children under 13 eat free.
The first day after our arrival, the bathroom was not properly cleaned and the coffee cups were left dirty.
Not a good promotion for The Holiday Inn group.

An interesting stay in Rome.
Pros:

Spacious room with 2 double beds. Very comfortable. Bathroom ok.
A varied breakfast choice; particularly the bread rolls which we had with various meats & cheeses. A nice selection of fresh fruit.
Excellent restaurant for both lunch and dinner. High-quality steaks, superbly served. Very nice mixed salad. Best chips ever! Excellent wine.
Bar served great cocktails.
The swimming pool was very nice with plenty of sunbeds and large towels.
Great easy parking.
My wife & I enjoyed our stay very much.

Cons:

Italians don't do savoury for breakfast, only sweet! However, 4 star hotels usually cater for cooked breakfasts. I tried there cooked breakfast of speck, hash brown, scrambled eggs & toast. This was inedible. I noticed on day 2 that you can get fried eggs and omelettes made to order. But this is not advertised. Fortunately, there was plenty of other food. The coffee machines were hopeless, except for expresso & cafe lungo. 2 out of 4 coffee machines didn't work, then even these failed to make a drinkable cappuccino. The waitress managed to make one from the bar, but even this was Luke warm. This is bad enough in any country for a 4 star hotel, but in Italy!!
The showers in the room need upgrading, definitely not 4 star standards. Low pressure, difficult to adjust and outdated.
