Hotel Posada del Rey

Nothing really. Just know that because the hotel sits so close to town, you will have to ring a bell in order to be let in no matter what time of day it is. (They usually answer the door and buzz you in fairly quickly). Also I think it’s helpful to know that if you have problems with stairs/ mobility, this hotel does not have an elevator- just a spiral staircase to rooms above garden level and another set of strait stairs for rooms on the 3rd floor. Breakfast was good, but it was also the same every day (eggs, a “pancake”, toast, fresh fruit, coffee and juice) - it would be nice if they offered a few different options (like yogurt and other types of breads/fruit) just for the sake of variety. In the bathroom, they have very small bars of soap and a shampoo “packet” - it gets the job done, but nothing overly fancy. One thing that I found somewhat difficult was the hot water in the shower. It took a few minutes for the water to warm up to lukewarm. However, one day I was showering with hot water and the water turned extremely hot (scalding) and I couldn’t get it to a reasonable temperature no matter what I tried…so regulating the water temperature was definitely tricky.

Shower wasn’t always hot but for the most part it was, just a bit hit and miss.

Room was quite small, there wasn't much room to put anything. They should definitely put up some extra hooks or a hanging shelf with this little space. We did book the smallest room, but it looked bigger on the pictures.

The room we had was very small - might not be for everyone. As other reviews have mentioned, there was also a bit of a pipe smell in the bathroom. Some guests were quite loud late into the evening and kept leaving the light on outside the rooms, which has to be switched off from the hallway on the second floor. Not the hotel's fault, but perhaps they could remind guests to be a bit more considerate.

The rooms upstairs were very small but ok for a 2 days stay

El desayuno era poco variado

Não tem evelador, e não tem maleteiros para subir as malas, só são 3 pisos mas se tiver mala pesada você precisa subir e descer no check out. Quarto mais simples não tem muito penduradores no banheiro, nenhum no quarto, e não tem espelho no quarto, só no banheiro.

The only problem u had was traffic noise even later at night and early morning but it is not the hotel’s fault.

The staff seemed to get the breakfast area ready at 11pm or so and make a lot of noise doing it and despite the sound proofing from the road, you can easily hear what's going on in the main lobby. Not the worst thing but is easily avoided if it's prepared at an earlier time.

Que solo ponían un rollo de papel higiénico que además es de los que dura poquito.

The shower pressure was great but there was no hot water

El ruido. Muuuy ruidosa la habitación, se escuchaba no solamente el ruido del exterior, sino que de todo lo que pasaba en las habitaciones, muy dificil dormir.
