breakfast very good, staff excellent. our room very dark and glummy, view out window black rock, corridores dark, curtain had to remain closed as wall from bedroom sheer glass no privacy to use loo.

Always a lovely spot under the Storey Bridge! Close to so many great spots, Fellons, the CBD and also the Valley. The rock all view is always nice as well. Friendly staff, lovely decor, its always a nice spot to stay.
I think we were in room 502, I've stayed here a few times and this room is not the one to get, very noisy on a weekend and also not very private, due to the height the path under the bridge looks directly into your room, so it makes it hard to keep the curtains open.
Always a great location with excellent staff and lovely accomodations. I've stayed at CBV a number of times before.
The drinking water situation is not very good when everything else is excellent. The mini bar is great with 2 bottles of sparkling water. However, if you want plain water, they give you and empty glass craft which you have to fill up on another floor. This is pretty unacceptable for such a fine hotel.

Location was the only thing this place actually had. Really disappointing property especially for the price.
Don’t be fooled by the advertised “Nature Wall.” In reality, it overlooks what feels like a neglected council dead zone, complete with rubbish, while people walking along the street above can see directly into the rooms.
The room layout shown online looked lovely, but the room we received was poorly arranged and inconvenient. There wasn’t even a practical place to put our suitcases.
Access to the pool requires walking through a crowded bar and function area, which was uncomfortable and very off-putting. The gym is essentially a cramped hallway with equipment and a door.
The hotel strongly encourages guests to use its free water stations rather than providing drinking water in the rooms. However, our floor did not have a water station, so we had to wait for the slow elevators and travel to another floor every time we wanted water.
As a final disappointment, after paying a significant amount for a two-night stay, we were quoted $35 to return a small personal item we had accidentally left behind.
Overall, the hotel did not come close to meeting the expectations created by its online presentation or its premium pricing.

Amazing breakfast, staff so helpful and friendly, beautiful rooms and the cliff side room so cosy and quiet. Beds and pillows extremely comfortable. Love that the hotel is trying to be sustainable and environmentally conscious where possible.
Property is great and location. Lovely staff, room service food was exceptional.
I was in room 202 didn’t sleep well from the noise from the bridge.
