Pros:

Schönes Gebäude in einer parkartigen Anlage. Kein Straßenlärm. Parkplatz vorhanden und ausreichend groß. Personal freundlich, v.a. Stefanie. Wir hatten kein Frühstück gebucht, wurden aber seitens des Hotels dazu eingeladen. Das Frühstücksbuffet war eine angenehme Überraschung mit einer Auswahl von frischem Obst, Gemüse, Rührei und einer Auswahl an Brot, Käse, Joghurt und Brot. Insgesamt sehr sauber.

Cons:

Wir hatten ein "Historisches Zimmer" gebucht. Es war jedoch nichts an diesem Zimmer "historisch". Entgegen der Angaben hatte das Zimmer außerdem weder einen Schreibtisch noch einen Sitzbereich. Es gab auch keinen Schrank, keine Kommode und keine Ablagemöglichkeit für den Koffer, statt dessen nur einen wackeligen Kleiderständer mit 4 Drahtbügeln. Nicht mal ein einziger Stuhl war vorhanden. Das Zimmer war deutlich kleiner als 28m² und hatte nur ein winziges Fenster. Die Ausstattung des Zimmers und des gesamten Hotels fanden wir kitschig, nicht hochwertig und dem Gebäude nicht angemessen. Überall Kunstblumen und Nippes und in den Zimmern ein trister grauer Teppichboden. Die Matratze war uns zu hart, aber das ist ja Geschmacksache. Leider hellhörig durch die Zimmertüren. Für fast 300 Euro/Nacht hatten wir mehr erwartet.

De sfeer en de omgeving

Cons:

Was geen hotel maar B&B waardoor geen diner 's avonds mogelijk was. Je moest hiervoor met de auto naar Lanaken. Vlakbij maar één kon niet drinken

Als je in de buurt bent, zoek niet verder!
Pros:

We hadden een 'gewone' standaard-kamer geboekt maar bij aankomst bleek dat we een gratis upgrade kregen naar de ruimere suite. Kijk, dat vind ik nu eens een aangename verassing! Verder niks dan goeds over dit zeer propere hotel met uiterst vriendelijk personeel. En dan die prachtige locatie!
Tijdens ons korte verblijf viel de TV uit. Dat was voor ons niet eens zo'n probleem, maar we mochten verhuizen naar een andere suite.

Prachtig hotel en luxe kamer, heerlijk bed! Maar geen airco
Pros:

Prachtig gerestaureerd met mooie materialen en degelijke kwaliteit!

Cons:

Geen airco bij temperaturen boven de 30 graden, geen receptie aanwezig en ‘s nachts een leeg hotel met maar 2 verhuurde kamers. Opening van de voordeur met code ging moeizaam!

One of the best castle hotel near big city, yet mid in nature, top experience!
Pros:

This is my first after the renovation of this historical building. What a great job the management team and owner have done. It turns this famous castle into an elegant top class hotel, with the taste of real european heritage worth to preserve and being appreciated. The location is just a few km from Maastricht center, near the outlet village Maasmeschellen, surrounded by all kinds of fine dinning restaurants. Staff are very friendly and care giving, They speak fluently English too. The room are spacours, furniture are so beautifully designed with own logo. The best bed I have ever seen! Matrass is healing....We could certainly come back! This is a paradise for travellers seek high quality facilities, beautiful nature and peace.

Cons:

Need a bit attention of entry door, the card is not working properly, but I believe will be solved soon. Parking place need EV chargers, hopefully soon.

Eindelijk is het lelijk eendje een zwaan geworden.
Pros:

Ik heb hier al eens eerder verbleven, vóór de renovatie, en het is werkelijk indrukwekkend om te zien hoe mooi het kasteel is gerenoveerd. De renovatie is zeer geslaagd: de historische uitstraling is behouden, terwijl het comfort en de afwerking helemaal van deze tijd zijn. Alles straalt kwaliteit, sfeer en aandacht voor detail uit. Het verblijf was een geweldige ervaring en ik heb er enorm van genoten. Ik kom hier dan ook heel graag nog eens terug. Absoluut een aanrader!

Goed ontbijt in een mooie locatie.
De natuur buiten.

Cons:

Het raam op onze kamer sloot niet af (waaide binnen).
Ook de gordijnen maken de kamer niet donker.
