"Disappointing service and poor management."
Pros:

Our experience started on a bad note when we arrived at 1:30 PM. The front desk clerk completely ignored me and, despite the hotel being entirely empty, tried to charge us a $35 "early check-in" fee. We chose to wait an hour, only for him to botch coding our room key cards when we returned.

When I reported these issues to the morning staff the next day, the manager/clerk was mostly indifferent. The staff here needs customer service training.

As for the amenities, the breakfast was a basic, high-carb spread, and there was no coffee available in the breakfast room—I was told to make it in the room. Furthermore, the area was not the best, with some homeless folks behind the building. We definitely will not be returning.

Love it here !
Pros:

I love this hotel! I stay every chance I get when I’m in the area l. It’s close to everything , the rooms are spacious and clean and the staff is always very nice .

Cons:

I don’t like that there are no microwaves in the rooms , at least the one I had and the shower door in my room kept sticking , making it hard to close or open .

Pros:

I think this is the best place to stop in downtown Sac. Easy I5 access but quieter than the other hotels in the area. It's a little farther to walk to the river, but worth it for the added peace and quiet. Had a fun convo with the desk staff about cars.

Cons:

I wish breakfast was open a little longer. I went out for a morning run and got back right as they were closing up.

It was comfortable and affordable
Pros:

It was close to the freeway and was clean. The staff was very kind.

Cons:

The one thing I did not like was that the reviews indicate there’s a big selection for the breakfast, but that was not the case. The only items offered were waffles and two types of cereal. There was no meal or eggs or bacon or sausage or biscuits and gravy or anything of the matter.
