Another perfect stay at this iconic property. We loved having drinks on our heated seats on the 40th floor observation deck. A unique and special moment. The staff here always goes above and beyond this time helping us out by bring a long table to our room as we needed an extra surface. The staff is top notch and goes overboard trying to please in every way. The doormen at the front door are so welcoming and friendly and make every effort to learn the names of the guests and chat us up. In every way this hotel is world class!
I have no idea are there any hotels at San Francisco better than Embarcadero, but this one was really bad. Very poor interiors, poor rooms, just one middle level restaurant in all the hotel providing all the meals: breakfast, lunch and diner, located on the ground floor with no views at all! During all our stay just one elevator was working which made elevator waiting time up to 5-10 minutes! Weakest concierge service I’ve ever faced and front desk as well! Rooms located on high floors like 40+, so I have no idea why didn’t they make a restaurant at the top floor with a great view?
The only nice advantages of the hotel were good location and the rooms with a bridge view!
That’s all!
Me and my partner had a work+leisure week here and the experience was fantastic. Fast response room service and housekeeping staff members delivered very high quality Apple monitors, keyboards and other amenities to ensure us having a smooth work experience. Front desk and restaurant staff members were super efficient with our requests.
The amazing view this property offers was also a plus.
Rooms are beautiful and comfortable
Not much of a lobby, but that’s not a big deal.
I would probably also go elsewhere for breakfast
It was a fantastic experience. From the front desk to the time we left, the service was outstanding. We even asked them for caviar room service which is not on their menu typically, and they made it happen. It was also incredible. Cannot say enough about this hotel.
Four Seasons San Francisco is probably one of the best ways to experience San Francisco — especially these days, when the city itself feels strangely half-empty and a little asleep.
The views from the hotel are absolutely spectacular. Honestly, the best sightseeing tour in San Francisco may simply be to stay at this hotel, go up to your room, and look at the city from above. From the upper floors, you get a breathtaking 360-degree feeling of San Francisco: the bay, the skyline, the hills, the bridges, and all the beauty that still makes this city unique.
The location is very convenient, the service is very good, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the overall experience once you are upstairs is excellent. The moment you enter a bright room on a high floor and see San Francisco through the window, your mood changes completely. If the city looks a little tired from the street, from the Four Seasons it suddenly becomes cinematic again.
There are, however, a few strange details. The restaurant downstairs is rather limited, with a modest menu, and the ground floor, including the reception area, feels quite dark and gloomy — almost as if the hotel is trying to test your optimism before rewarding you with the view upstairs. The first impression downstairs is not as inspiring as the hotel deserves.
My advice: do not have breakfast downstairs. Order breakfast to your room, sit by the window, and enjoy the view. That is where the hotel becomes truly special.
Some service details are also a little surprising. For example, if you want to celebrate something around noon, you may discover that the bartender only starts working at 3 p.m. Apparently, even cocktails in San Francisco now need a late start.
But these are small details compared with the main advantage of the hotel: the view is simply outstanding. Once you are in your room, looking out over San Francisco, it b
The restaurant and services at the ground floor. Not cozy restaurant with lack of services
After a disappointing experience at another property where a strong musty, moldy odor immediately triggered chronic migraines and allergies for both my son and me, we quickly booked two rooms at the Four Seasons Embarcadero through Amex Platinum—and what a difference.
Without even asking, we were upgraded to two spectacular rooms on the 44th floor with breathtaking views of San Francisco. The rooms were immaculate, beautifully appointed, and smelled fresh and inviting. Every amenity was thoughtfully provided, creating a truly comfortable and luxurious stay.
The beds were exceptional, and as someone who loves feather pillows, I can honestly say I had the best night's sleep of our entire trip. Every request was handled flawlessly, from breakfast service with our wonderful waiter Alex to drinks at the bar and attentive housekeeping.
The Four Seasons Embarcadero turned a stressful situation into an unforgettable stay. On future trips to San Francisco, this will be the only hotel we consider.
Comfy bed nice bay view
Hospitality lack care and sense od details. Reception stuff and concierge poor service, car hire had to arrange myself, restaurant recommended was closed …
From the moment we walked into the lobby; staff made us feel special and welcome! And the room service was top-notch and they gave us a fabulous view…We would love to be back 💯
The views were absolutely fantastic!
Restaurant had limited selection
