Zimmer war wirklich winzig und könnte eine Renovierung vertragen.
Location was great. Night porter was fabulous.
Bathroom smelled of sewage. It wasn’t very clean, you couldn’t see out of the windows. We were up in the gods where the stairs are really steep and challenging. Younger people were lower down. Breakfast wasn’t good. Staff were uninterested.

My room was at the very top of the hotel so it felt a bit like going up to the attic with some steep steps at the top. It was a single room but very tiny. The smallest single room I've ever stayed in. Otherwise my stay was good.

The personal touch. Dealing with pleasant human beings as part of the reception process, and actually having a good old-fashioned key for the room. It's a lovely old building.

The location of the hotel was perfect for the event that we were in town for. We had two rooms, The rooms were quaint and suited the purpose we didn't spend much time in it. The breakfast was good, a good basic breakfast with options. Loved the tea and biscuits that were in the room as the day was very rainy and wet upon arrival. Staff is friendly but they do stick to the 3pm check in and not one minute earlier. So it's a mad dash to line up at 3pm which seems a bit odd but hey not my business to run.
We arrived to find that there was no lift at this facility and as much my fault for not asking as we each had luggage weighing 20 kg as we are traveling for 2 weeks around the UK. So carrying that up 4 flights of stairs was not our idea of a good time. I will for sure make sure I check in depth next time. The did tell me many times about the parking which didn't apply to me since we were taking the train but I didn't get any notifications about NO LIFT. Besides that everything was amazing so it's not really their fault I have to also take the blame.
