A great place to stay in Grantown-on-Spey
Pros:

This was a great hotel to stay at while on our whisky tour of Scotland. The proprietor was fantastic! The restaurant has delicious food! Nice location that is within walking distance to town. Our room was plenty large enough for the 2 of us. Thank you for the great hospitality!

Speyside Hotel is a wonderful Grantown-on-Spey hotel.
Pros:

We stopped in Grantown-on-Spey on our trip between Edinburgh and Inverness. The Speyside Hotel was a pleasant surprise. They have a nice (fully stocked!) bar and an incredible restaurant. We enjoyed happy hour and dinner after arrival. The bar had an impressive selection of Scotch, and our dinner was delightful. The setting , food, and service were all great. Breakfast the next day was also very good. All in all, a very pleasant full-service hotel.

Greeted with a warm welcome. Arrived late , after dinner service , and was kindly offered fish and chips, which were lovely, as was breakfast.

Another wonderful stay!
Pros:

We have stayed at the Speyside Hotel many times now. A warm welcome is always received from the lovely owners, Mark and Lucy (who is also the wonderful chef!)
As always our rooms were spacious , spotless and very comfortable.
The bar is a warm welcoming place to sit with a drink prior to dinner in the lovely dining room.
On our return trip this time we were delighted to see a lovely addition to the wall decor in the conservatory!
Definitely won’t be long till we are heading back up for another stay!

Warm hospitality, great food and a lovely stay.
Pros:

Great location, tucked away from the main road, so it was nice and peaceful. The EV charging station was a big plus for us, and having a grass area for the dog was really convenient.

Breakfast was excellent – a big thank you to Lucy and her team. Mark and the front-of-house and service teams were brilliant too, especially Katrina, who really looked after us.

We also had dinner at the hotel and the food was really good, with great service and some excellent cocktails to go with it.

A very enjoyable stay and we would happily return!

A short but wonderfully memorable stay.
Pros:

My wife and I stayed at the Speyside hotel for one night as part of a mountain biking holiday that took us from the west coast to the east coast of Scotland. The day that we stayed at Speyside happened to be my birthday. When we arrived, Mark and his team were having a bit of a break, but once we met him, I knew we were going to be in for a great (short) stay. Pretty much every aspect of Speyside was really great. Our room was huge and very comfortable, dinner was fantastic (see photo of a proper pie!) thanks to the great team in the Speyside kitchen) and Mark even noted my birthday with a helium balloon that was put on our table. Mark said that this balloon had already served quite a few (6?) other birthdays - so it's great to see a re-use policy being put into practice.

The post-dinner whiskey flight (remember it was my birthday!) was brilliant. Mark predicted what whiskies I would like, and he does this via a piece of paper that he gave me with his prediction on it - and my job (with great assistance from my wife) was to score the whiskies. It was a real treat to do something different like this and one that I'm still smiling about many weeks later.

Breakfast the following day was no let-down, and the hospitality we were shown made a real and positive difference.

If you've read this far, then you'll not be surprised that we had a great stay.

Friendly and warm place to stay
Pros:

Staff very friendly. Great sense of humour. Kindly carried our suitcase upstairs for us as we were in the top floor. You need to order breakfast the night before so that everything is ready for you in the morning. It is a bit tricky if you do not quite know what you wish to eat, but a very efficient way of doing it.
We would stay there again

Well worth a visit
Pros:

I have just returned from a second visit, within a year, to the Speyside Hotel. This time my visit was with my sister. It was as good as my first visit in March with my husband. I had a very warm welcome back from Mark and Lucy the owners.
The hotel is in a very convenient position, behind the high street of the gorgeous Grantown on Spey. There is ample free parking for all residents.
It has a very coy bar and restaurant with delicious homemade, locally sourced food, cooked by Lucy.Mark runs a well stocked bar, ideal for early evening drinks or a night cap. Lovely to see locals using the bar and restaurant as well. They are very fortunate to have extremely friendly and helpful staff assisting them .Well worth a visit and I look forward to returning in the future.

Great stay
Pros:

Our visit at the speyside hotel was a warm and friendly experience. Mark and his team were super helpful especially with arranging a driver for our adventures around the Whiskey distilleries. Gerry the driver was friendly and kindly went out of his way to show us around some of the sites.
The breakfast was excellent and very efficiently organised. Sadly we missed out on the amazing chefs specials but will have to make another trip just to enjoy the dinner menu .

Best food, drinks and atmosphere by far.
Pros:

Thank you to Mark, Lucy and the team for making our visit to Grantown on Spey a very memorable one. Although we were not Hotel guests we were welcomed and made to feel totally at home. Mark is a great host. The bar is an absolute gem. The whiskey selection alone will bowl you over not to mention the cocktails. I can totally recommend you try one of the whiskey or gin flights.
The restaurant matches the experience
up perfectly. Lucy’s menu serves up a thoroughly well chosen selection of excellent locally sourced food cooked with a great passion.
So if you’re staying anywhere near, I can totally recommend you go out of your way and pay them a visit. We’re glad we did.

Be careful which room you book
Pros:

Downstairs restaurants and service is very good but be careful when booking your room. Our standard double room was cramped and filled with op shop furniture with a view of the fire escape and limited natural light. Bathroom was a broom cupboard with tiny shower. Overall the room was a big let down on what could have been a nice stay.
