This is a very pretty building and the welcome from the owner was lovely. The room was basic with a very small bathroom. The shower was good and hot. The restaurant was very popular and with good reason as it had great service and wonderful local food. A nice breakfast too
The room was pretty basic but clean with everything you need for a night or two. Made up for by the great on site restaurant

I would give the staff a 10, all very nice and very welcoming. Even packed up breakfast for me when I woke up feeling ill.
The room was large and very clean
Food was overall quite good; drinks were excellent.
The mattress was a bit springy, and not the most comfortable thing ever, and the seam was fairly noticeable down the middle.
Bathroom was okay, but a bit spartan.
I think overall it’s an older building and nice/fastidious as the staff is it’s just starting to show its age. I would say the vibe is probably more like a large B&B than a hotel; if that’s your vibe you’ll probably love it, but if you prefer hotels then I think some of the more homey touches and quirks are probably going to have you annoyed and disappointed.
The breakfast was super,, as was the dinner the previous evening, when the dining room was full to bursting. Its obviously very popular locally as well as with the residents.
We picked this hotel on spec and it more than fulfilled our expectations.

This is an absolute diamond of a perfect getaway. The whole experience from start to finish was nothing short of exceptional, from the location, amenities, rooms cleanliness and exceptional staff and mouth watering evening meals to the I,Imo, award worthy winning breakfast, everything they did and provided was above and beyond. Never have i ever received such hospitality.
Also a massive thank you to Mark(proprietor)and Lucy (chef).

Très belle et confortable chambre. Excellent petit déjeuner. Très bonne table dans sa catégorie. Un bar très sympa avec une carte de whisky incroyable. Un patron au petit soin, qui vous conseille très bien.

Staff were fabulous! The food was the best we had on the trip. Our room had everything we needed and was more spacious than anticipated. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to family & friends.
