Villa Blu

So peaceful, near the bird sanctuary and away from busy Tangalle town

We stayed at villa blu for six nights and we couldn't be happier.

It's a wonderful semi-secluded location with direct access to a beautiful beach, the villa itself is a perfect size that feels like you're staying at a (rich) friends place and the food is well executed - the Sri Lankan breakfast in particular was fantastic.

The staff led by Kamal and Mithun were a stand out and really set the vibe for the stay. They were very accommodating, friendly and chilled out. When we had an allergic reaction to some food, they were helpful and accommodating.

We also really enjoyed the company of the resident adopted dog Kalu and appreciated their compassion in taking her in - would love for them to extend this to the sweet old brown dog that stays near the beach gate. We loved being greeted by both dogs everyday.

This was my sixth trip back to Sri Lanka and my first time at Villa Blu, what an excellent property. The location was beautiful, your own private beach (not all the beaches in Sri Lanka are clean but this was very clean!). The staff were superb, all were respectful and helpful and regularly maintained the property throughout my stay. Kamal was exceptionally helpful in ensuring I enjoyed everything and checking in to make sure if I needed anything else. The food was pretty good and unless you are very fussy, there is enough on the menu to satisfy anyone’s taste including vegetarian options. Overall, the property was clean and in good condition, see below for some small feedback on the room.

Struttura molto bella e il personale estremamente accogliente

War ein toller Aufenthalt, das Personal kümmert sich unglaublich um das Wohlergehen der Gäste und organisiert alles, was man sich nur wünschen kann. Am letzten Abend wurden wir sogar mit einem super romantischen Abendessen mit Sonnenuntergang und Feuer überrascht! Auch der Billardtisch ist super um zwischendurch etwas zu spielen! Man fühlt sich einfach wie zu Hause!

Everything! Beautiful villa, staff were brilliant, food was some of the best we’ve had.

Staff were so helpful, and on hand for anything we needed. They went above and beyond to provide a 5* service.

We were very kindly upgraded into a bigger room, and we were the only guests. It felt like a private fully serviced villa experience that you would spent a fortune on. We had a fabulous time and will be recommending to our friends when they visit Sri Lanka later on in the year.

Also we loved the little dog! She was so well behaved, was always around but even when we were eating she would leave us be. And we loved it when she’d come for beach walks with us.

Would highly highly recommend Villa Blu, we loved our time there and wish we had longer than 3 nights!

Un endroit magique en dehors de la ville avec accès direct à la plage, mais attention, la baignade y est super dangereuse, mais il y a la piscine qui est très agréable et des transats très confortable, nous avons passé 3 jours et avons profité de nous reposer dans cette magnifique maison.
On s'y sent comme à la maison.
Le personnel a été au petit soin avec nous, d'une gentillesse incroyable et nous avons eu la chance de croiser le patron qui est venu remercier ces employés et leur souhaiter une bonne année. Pour cette occasion il nous a même offert le vin, super sympa.
Les repas étaient top, mais spécialement le plateau de fruit de mer qui était incroyable! merci au cuisinier!

This accommodation is nothing short of amazing. Genuinely friendly and attentive, yet relaxed staff. Beautiful and well-maintained house and rooms with a great pool. Direct access to a calm and beautiful beach. We even changed our schedule to be able to stay for one more night here. Can only highly recommend staying here, especially when you’re looking for a calm and relaxing stay away from the more crowded places.

Wer eine ruhige außergewöhnliche Unterkunft sucht, ist hier richtig. Sehr aufmerksames Personal, sehr gute Küche (auch Frühstück). Lage am Meer einzigartig für lange Spaziergänge.
