Mooie centrale ligging in hartje Salt Lake City
Douchen in bad kan echt niet meer
Great hotel made even better by Jeffrey at the front desk!
We were here for a martial art tournament. When we got to our room the AC fan was blowing hard. Room temp hovered between 72-73, but it was set for 65. The engineer came up to "blow" the bubbles from the pipes, but that did nothing. They said there was an HVAC event on 07/14 and explained with so many rooms and floors the system needed time to recover. But after 5 days??????
The bed pillows were useless, had to pile 2 on top of each other. They were very flimsy and should be replaced with something more ergonomic. Same with the bed. Too hard, not a pillow-top bed, just hard. Didn't sleep well at all during my stay because of the bed, pillows, and loud HVAC fan (even with ear plugs on!).
Carpet in the room was filthy. After showering I walked around the room, later looked at my feet at it was dirty again! Decided to use socks walking around in my room. White socks proved the carpets need thorough shampoo or cleaning. Same with the carpets in the conference rooms. OMG! So dirty and food on the ground, etc. Ick!!
The first night I had a 9oz glass of "Russian" white wine. It was $28.00!!! I asked the bar tender to show me the bottle. He wouldn't. My receipt showed Sonoma. That's definitely not Russian.
Note there is not a business center here. They replaced it with an overpriced market (aka self serve snack shop). If you want anything printed you have to email it to the front desk. Good luck!
The only plus was the staff members. They were all very polite, smiling, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel was within walking distance to several nice local restaurants with reasonably priced beer and wine compared to this hotel. I would recommend Ramblin Roads for breakfast. Squatters Pub, and Gracie's. Stay away from Sicilia Pizza. They leave their pizza out under the heat lamps for over 1 hour (but they'll warm it up for you in the microwave!! Yikes!).
The location was great! The bed was very comfortable.
The bathroom is a bit dated
ES UN HOTEL QUE CUENTA CON EXCELENTE UBICACION Y SUS INSTALACIONES MUY BIEN.
QUE TUVIERA SERVICIO DE ROOM SERVICE. Y LOS REQUIRIMIENTOS QUE PEDIMOS COMO: SOFA CAMA YA ESTUVIERAN LISTOS CUANDO LLEGARAMOS.
Comfortable rooms and lots of amenities
I like the hotel, but the beds were not comfortable for me.
I woke up with both sides hurting.
I like the location and the staff is very nice.
I also enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the service was great.
The hotel is very clean and in a good location.
The rooms are nice and large.
I did not have a chance to explore the rest of the hotel.
I would stay here again, but I thought the $37/night parking was too high.
I'll aspects of the stay were enjoyable. The staff is very attentive and efficient and the rooms are well appointed in the beds are very comfortable. Special kudos to the breakfast staff, especially Krishna, the omelette chef, who immediately knew my favorite eggs.
The hotel was nice as always. The highlight was Jessica M at the front desk. She helped us with check in and local recommendations. She went above and beyond to make sure our room situation and requests were handled. Thank you.
I was very disappointed with my stay at the Hilton Salt Lake City.
The rooms are extremely dated and in need of renovation. The carpet was very dirty, and there was a noticeable buildup of dust on the walls, which was quite disgusting and made the room feel poorly maintained.
Another major issue was housekeeping. Daily cleaning service is not provided automatically—you have to specifically request it. This is not what I expect from a Hilton-branded hotel. In addition, the bathroom was not properly stocked and lacked basic supplies that should be standard for guests.
Hilton should conduct more thorough inspections before allowing a property to operate under its brand name. The overall condition and level of service did not meet the standards I associate with Hilton hotels.
Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay at this property again.
