It was very convenient, kids loved the pool, not far from beaches or other known areas of San Diego.

Customer service, continental breakfast,pool,our room had everything we needed.
Some of the guest were loud, smell Marijuana, in the hallway we had Hugh water bugs in our room, the door keys kept failing, the first room we were in, broken floor tiles,blood on the sheets.
I enjoyed this basic hotel. The staff is great. The location is terrific and the breakfast was everything I needed. The parking was free/included Many hotels in this neighborhood charge for parking.
I think the pool filter needs a couple new cartridges.

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
I booked a 2-night stay (July 3–5, 2026) through Cheapoair on May 31, 2026, for one room with two beds. After reading some concerning reviews, I had a bad feeling and decided to call the hotel before my trip to confirm my reservation. I also informed the receptionist that I might arrive late because I planned to spend time in Los Angeles before driving to San Diego. The receptionist confirmed they had my reservation and assured me that late check-in was not a problem, saying I could check in anytime after 3:00 PM.
However, when I arrived at the hotel at 11:30 PM on July 3, I was shocked. The front desk receptionist told me that the hotel had canceled my reservation due to flooding and that I needed to “talk to your third party.” She was rude, showed no empathy, and offered no assistance whatsoever.
It was 11:30 at night, and I was left stranded in an unfamiliar city with nowhere to stay. I immediately called Cheapoair, and they told me they had never received any cancellation notice from the hotel. If the hotel truly had to cancel reservations because of flooding, why didn’t they notify me directly after I had already called to confirm my reservation? Why wasn’t Cheapoair informed so they could help me find another hotel before I arrived?
This experience was incredibly stressful and completely unacceptable. A hotel should never leave guests without accommodation in the middle of the night, especially after confirming the reservation in advance. The lack of communication, poor customer service, and complete disregard for guests’ well-being were beyond disappointing.
If you’re considering staying here, be aware that even a confirmed reservation may not mean you’ll actually have a room when you arrive. I strongly recommend booking somewhere else if you want peace of mind and professional customer service.

Room cleaning when arrival was not good. Some things from previos guests were still in the room.

The hotel was nothing like the pictures displayed on the add to book very disappointing, the elevator was so tiny and run down the free breakfast here was horrible only yogurt hard boiled eggs a waffle maker and some packet pastries so disappointing,for the price of this booking I was very disappointed I will not be returning here.

The shower above would leak into our bathroom and water would be all over the place. There was a homeless guy passed out in the bathroom which meaning easy access for them to enter and unsafe for a family environment
