Awesome location, so many amenities, beautiful pool, fun movie night, parking easy and relatively affordable. Awesome decor/vibe. Family suite was perfect for family of four. Highly recommend!

Overall was a nice experience.
Pros:

Traveled for a family vacation. The Hotel was located near Universal Studios and City Walk. We used the free shuttle service to and from. The pool was nice, and the activities provided each night for guests were a bonus. (ext. Movie night, games, live music) The facilities were secure, as a key card was needed to enter both the room quarters and the parking area. A restaurant is also located on the property.

Cons:

There is an additional charge for parking each day. There is a free shuttle, but it can fill up quickly.

What a gem!
Pros:

We had such a great experience at The Garland. It somehow strikes the perfect balance between nostalgic California glamour and family friendly comfort. I love the atmosphere and decor, everything is clean and nice, the staff are friendly, the beds are comfortable. I really appreciated the daily housekeeping, and the water pressure in the shower was great! The trolley to/from Universal is adorable and so convenient. Our stay was so great. We will definitely be back!

Veldig hyggelige ansatte. Rent og ryddig. God mat og hyggelig stemning ved bassenget. Her tente de opp i peisen på kvelden og barna kinne bade, se på film på lerret fra bassenget og leke med andre barn samtidig. Jeg kan virkelig anbefale dette hotellet!

Amazing hotel—would definitely come back
Pros:

Our stay was incredible, although I wish we booked more nights here, as the hotel has so much to offer. The rooms are well appointed, with plenty of storage for clothes etc (unlike most hotels). The room was impeccably clean, and housekeeping did a wonderful job every day. The decor of the whole hotel has an amazing vibe—reminding me of a classy hotel from decades ago but super updated for the modern traveler; the decor just shows the beautiful class of the space from when the hotel was built.

The trolley to Universal is wonderful and drops you off right at the front gate. The trolley leaves the hotel every hour on the hour and returns at a quarter past the hour.

The room service was fantastic. The orders arrived hot, were nicely packaged, and delivered timely and with care.

Then, of course, the courtyard and pool areas were great. The courtyard had a laid back area to get food, but also had giant Jenga, giant connect four, foosball, etc. It wasn’t noisy and crazy, but rather a nice place for people of all ages to hang out. The pool had two hot tubs—one adults only and one for anyone. There were also plenty of loungers by the clean and heated pool.

Overall a lovely hotel in a good location.
Pros:

Excellent facilities and cleanliness of room.

Cons:

We were unable to park our hire car due to the very high cost of parking per night. Surely this should be low cost or free with the price of the rooms. There were loads of spaces left empty, probably due to the cost, but we had to try to find parking across the street everyday. I would have given the hotel an excellent rating if it wasn’t for the parking issue.
