Expensive and disappointing.
Pros:

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times. I liked it because of location and shuttle to and from airport. Also like the restaurant Minerva's.

Cons:

The room was full of flies that bothered us the whole time we were in the room. We asked for a fly swatter but they didnt have one. The sink was backed up snd took a long time to drain. The floor under the sink hadn't been cleaned and I found a full bottle of water laying there. We were put in E which is noisy with large vehicles leaving the parking lot early morning.

Noisy
Pros:

Let me start by saying this was a last minute booking on a holiday weekend as the hotel we booked had no operational pool and that was necessary for our family of 4. So we may have gotten the last available room. We booked a 2 queen bed room. Some of the positives, the room was fine, beds comfy, and it even had a small table and 2 chairs. We opted for the breakfast package which allowed us to enjoy the buffet breakfast in the morning. The buffet was fine, pretty standard scrambled eggs, waffles, sausage patty, biscuits and white gravy. It also had yogurt, granola, mixed fruit, and a pastry option.
There was definately a pool option here. However, word of warning about the slides—they are kinda scary. There is a reason they have you sign a waiver. My husband was thrown around and even ended up with a bruised elbow after going down the slide on the left. The kids didn’t seem to have as much a a traumatic experience. Another adult said the same things after my husband got out of the water. There is no lifeguard monitoring the slides. And the hours of operation were not posted anywhere for the slides so the kids were disappointed that they didn’t get to play on them before leaving the next day.

Cons:

As for the rest of the stay, well it was by far the worst night of sleep we’ve had in years at a hotel. The rooms allow all the outside noice. We could hear the neighboring showers like they were in our room. If anyone is in the hall or stairwell , the noise is amplified. Not sure what kind of party was happening in SD that night, but from 12am -3:30am we were awake because of people running and shouting in the halls, slamming doors, and hanging out in the stairwells like it was their own personal playroom. Even after calling the front desk to notify them of the commotion, the noise persisted. If the rooms were better insulated, maybe it wouldn’t have been a problem, but it was very annoying and made for an unrestful evening. So beware if your room is at the end of the hall or

The staff was friendly.

Cons:

The hotel did not have an elevator and we were on the 2nd floor. It is very hard for me to walk up stairs. I did not feel the hotel was ADA compliant.

Not a good hotel and especially for the price don't stay there if you can help it
Pros:

Bed was comfy good location

Cons:

The 1st room stunk of mold or mildew so heavy we couldn't bare to be in the room 2 minutes the older lady a director I think was rather rude and short very argumentative about the room the breakfast was over priced buffet the quality of the food was very subpar dry eggs a old and stale potatoes and cheese I could not eat any of it.

Not your best option!
Pros:

The size of the room was decent and the staff was nice.

Cons:

This hotel is okay in a pinch and for one night if you just need to make a quick stop on and off the highway. I would not stay here if you are looking for an enjoyable or fun place to stay in Rapid City. Not only is the property not very attractive, there was a big light outside of our room that shined right in through the curtains at night. We had to take chairs to pin the curtains against the wall at night to keep the light from shining in. In addition, the hotel was very noisy and not well insulated from noise. You could hear people outside in the halls just having normal conversations, especially at night.

Not a real scenery area once you're in Bldg D or C
Pros:

I was promised a ground room when Imade my reservation and twice they confirmed to me that there was INDEED the ground room reserved. Only to be told during checking in that there were NO ground floor rooms available! Even though my room was completely already paid in full! What crock of shit and I will NEVER stay there again. And the staff are not very friendly once they've taken your money.

Cons:

No real clear directions of where all the buildings are at. You need to post signage outside with arrows or such pointing you to buildings locations!
