Very Over priced for no luxury

Beautiful scenery from our room

Cons:

Hotel was very dated . When we arrived floor was wet as we entered our room and become wetter after we showered .

No particular charm but convenient
Pros:

Wait stayed in this hotel before our trip to the red center. It is not particularly charming but a convenient high-end hotel with nice mountain views from the back balconies.

Great vibe & facilities. Super comfy accommodation
Pros:

The motel had a great vibe from the minute we entered reception. The on-site facilities are many, including a gym, restaurants & a bar, fabulous pool area, boutique shop, hairdresser, laundries, ice machines etc. We had a fabulous room overlooking the garden & pool area. The room was spacious & very comfortable. Of all our stays in and around the area of Alice Springs, I think we found your beds & range of pillows the most comfortable... which meant we felt well rested & very comfortable during our stay with you.

Comfortable, clean rooms

Cons:

Internet was not consistent. I witnessed blatant racism at the Saltbush restaurant when a group of First Nations women were told the restaurant was booked out when we were surrounded by empty tables. I was told the kitchen couldn’t cope as they had a big group coming but they were offered room service food.?? Needless to say we didn’t go back. Very bad look for your hotel.

Comfortable, good location
Pros:

We had come to Alice Springs for the Finn desert race and chose to stay at the Hilton with some other friends. The overall experience was fantastic, good staff good restaurants bar. The room was very comfortable and fairly well equipped, would be nice to have a microwave oven.

Cons:

The only downside was that the showers were very poor, lack of flow in our bedroom, and hot and cold intermittent showers in other rooms

Great old hotel getting a bit dated.
Pros:

Great older hotel that is getting a bit dated. Lovely staff but showers are over baths, tv is temperamental, beds are soft.
Had a great stay though as were rarely in our room.

Great staff. Great place.

As a Hilton Honours member living in a remote community in Central Australia I have cause to regularly stay at Doubletree Hilton Alice Springs. I would like to highly commend the staff at this excellent hotel. In particular, I want to thank Shristi, who is ever-smiling and cheerful, who helped organise a room for me at short notice on a busy weekend. This a great place to stay, made better by the outstanding desk staff (thanks also Leticia, Widy, Estaban...). Likewise, the room cleaners are always cheerful and very friendly. Thanks. I just wanted to formalise my appreciation in s review.

I liked the location, the Hanuman restaurant and the secure parking particularly.

Cons:

We were initially disappointed that our mountain view room didn't really have a mountain view. But when the issue was raised with management, they promptly gave us a room with more of a mountain view.
