Great hotel friendly staff and food lovely
Bar area and restaurant were clean and tidy
It needs a refurbishment, carpets worn and dirty, rust in the bath, bed was wobbly, lights missing in areas ,
Restruante ok and staff good
The hotel needs a serious makeover and whoever is in charge of Mantainance wants shooting ! Bath tap dripped, shower control broken, rust around the overflow ,sealant and silicone everywhere it shouldn’t be. Electric sockets not working the bed you could feel the frame it was that old.
Easy to find. Free parking. Comfortable beds. Restaurant had good menu selection. Breakfast was excellent value for money
Whilst the hotel was comfortable it does need to be refurbished
Improve on yr cleanliness in all room
Very poor u kept
Bathroom facilities were very little provided
Location
Where do I start. Upon entering, the hotel looked nice reception ares had recently had a coat of paint. As it said wet paint . The receptionist was very strange talked fast and blunt not very welcoming. As we proceeded through reception to our room it was apparent the hotel was in a poor state of repair . The carpet was thread bare on the stairs , filthy in the halls , the walls were filthy and the doors were mostly broken . As we got closer to our room it got worse I dreaded opening the door. It's very very dated and in desperate need of updating the wall paper is hanging off damp on ceiling. The carpet is 10 years past needing changing . The room smelt and was boiling. The radiator was on full pelt. The bed was horrific . You could feel every spring in it. The bathroom was ok but the toilet was squashed into a corner so ladies couldn't even open their legs !! The bathroom was clean & so was the bed.
We went straight out as it was so depressing. We didn't come back until really late as we really didn't want to stay. But couldn't afford to leave. We did contemplate driving home in the middle of the night it was that bad. We slept on top of duvet as bed was hurting , and then my husband slept of floor which I thought was worse as it was filthy ! So as soon as the sun came up we left ! It really spoilt our whole weekend.
Quiet and only 30 mins drive to the ferryport
Staff lovely
Nice atmosphere
Old style comfortable and clean grather than super luxurious at very reasonable cost
May I suggest the hotel considers going for soap/shampoo dispenders rather than little sachets which add to plastic waste and if you do't use the whole sachet, the left over contents are also wasted.
The location was great. The food in the restaurant was good and it was cosy.
The facilities were a bit poor. The room was clean, but there was supposed to be a shower and a bath but the showers had been capped off. Considering it was supposed to be a themed room. There was no where to hang clothes apart from on a curtain pole. We’ve stayed here a few times before & the rooms have been good on the whole but there was just a few negatives that needed ironing out.
Nothing
Tiny tv awful room shabby corridors needs a full refurb
Beautiful location. I had read the reviews prior to booking. The service and evening meal was excellent. As reviews stated, the hotel was in disrepair; however this reflected in the price. I didn’t feel uncomfortable bringing my dog. There was plenty of parking and it was wonderful being able to walk our dog down to the beach.
The hotel was a beautiful building but needed updating
Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay.
Didn't have any complaints!
Quiet and a good location for exploring Anglesey.
Room was dilapidated and in need of a refresh. It was somewhat noisy too with a random machine noise every hour or so, like a water boiler kicking in, even through the night. There was a single bloke staying in the room next to ours and one evening he was on the roof right outside our room, that shouldn't be possible, we had to close the curtains to get privacy, not ideal.
location
noise from adjoining room, tv on from 430am
Shortage of milk coffee and tea bags for one night stay, only provided for one drink
Staff hard to find, front desk unmanned in the morning
The chairs in the bedroom were dirty
new showers would update the room
Good location and parking
Looked very tired and dated, and quite dark everywhere
