Fairmont The Norfolk

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights before we went on safari. The people at the hotel were great. We arrived late at night and they had a full staff to help us. The grounds are very secure. I can't think of a better hotel to stay at before heading off. The setup was very safari like.

I stayed at Fairmont Norfolk in Nairobi for only one night with my Family (25-26 May) on our way to Masai Mara (we also stayed at Fairmont Mara Safari Club). This was enough to witness the beauty and serenity of this place. Quite relaxing atmosphere, very cosy, welcoming staff, and outstanding hospitality. We had dinner at Tatu restaurant. We were served by the GREAT Miss Maryam. Maryam was very nice. She was displaying cheer and happiness. She was also very knowledgeable about the history of Kenya. We will definitely come again for a longer stay in Nairobi to explore the city and to visit Mount Kenya as advised by Maryam!

This is an amazing beautiful hotel with lush grounds and lovely buildings.

We had dinner at the restaurant. The Ceasar salad with Chicken option was amazing. Cocktails were on point. The staff service was exceptional. Special mention to Sha who took our oder and Isaac who was assisting to touch tables and billing. You all are amazing with the team work.

We stayed at Fairmont The Norfolk during a business trip to Nairobi, and it was honestly such a great experience from start to finish.

After long workdays, it was the perfect place to come back to. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The little touches at turndown each evening were such a nice surprise and really made the room feel welcoming.

Breakfast and lunch were consistently excellent. The food was great, the service was smooth and friendly, and everything ran effortlessly, which you really appreciate when you’re on a work schedule. You could tell a lot of care goes into the details, whether it was the service, the rooms, or the beautiful, peaceful grounds.

It’s rare to say this, but we genuinely couldn’t find a single fault. Everything just felt easy, comfortable, and thoughtfully done. Fairmont The Norfolk somehow manages to be ideal for a business trip while still feeling special and relaxing.
We can’t wait to stay here again the next time we’re in Nairobi.

This is a 10 star experience from start to finish! 4 friends traveling together, and we all had a list of dietary restrictions that didn't align. Chef William was an ANGEL! He treated us like VIP's and personally came out to be sure our food was perfect and the special requests had been honored. (It was!) He was SO kind and charming and committed to us having a wonderful experience! Server Emmanuel was wonderful, security supervisor Daniel was very attentive, and security team member Ken walked 2 of us ladies to the bank and back!! Joseph at the front office reception desk was really helpful too. Stunning ground and incredible staff!

I had notified Fairmont Norfolk in advance that it was my wife's and my 20th Wedding Anniversary. I requested for any sort of decor in our room that could mark the special occasion. Fairmont Norfolk exceeded our exceptions. We were warmly greeted at reception who knew it was our wedding anniversary which was pleasant. Once we entered the room my wife and I were taken a back with the lovely decor they had prepared for us. They had a prepared a warm bath for us full of rose petals. The bed was littered with soap stone rhinos and elephants spelling out ' Happy 20th Anniversary'. We also enjoyed a complimentary cake which illustrated our anniversary with chocolate sauce written below.
The deluxe king courtyard room was fantastic. There were plenty of bottles of water which were replenished frequently. The view from the room was majestic.
We toured the hotel which was almost like stepping back in time. The hotel is rustic with a modern touch.
We enjoyed tea at the cin cin bar and then ordered burgers and chips at Lord Delamere's terrace which was sublime. There was a slight draft due to the change in weather. The staff brought both of us shawls to remain warm and enjoy our hot beverages after the meal near the garden. The staff then brought another slice of complimentary cake and sang for us which was very touching.
Sleep quality was excellent. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast consisting of omelette, sour dough bread, croissant and pancakes with tea which was delightful.
The manager frequented and asked us if the service was up to par which we re soundly acknowledged.
We also requested for a late check out which the reception duly obliged to. We finally ate lunch at Cin Cin bar before departing.
We left with a host of fond memories which will live with us until our last day. We truly appreciate the service and staff in particular at the Norfolk. We could not have wished for a better 20th Anniversary
