Pros:

The spa is beautiful and just about the only part of the hotel that is taken care of apart from the lobby and hallways.

Cons:

The room was run down, furniture was damaged which was an eye sore, if something in my own home was damaged i would fix it or replace it, as a premium hotel they have the resourses to do this immediatley but have chosen not to.

The housekeeping and room service is the worst i’ve experienced, what is the point of staying in a “good hotel” if the service takes over 1 hour to recieve even after 2 follow up calls.

This hotel is falling short of standards, the service is off and the up keep of rooms is overdue. Its not good enough, I should have stayed at the Dorcester, at least i know exactly what to expect there.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The breakfast was superb. The hotel's location and proximity to the train station are very nice. The staff is friendly and always eager to provide their support.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Pros:
Restaurant food is good but unfortunately their fine dining restaurant was closed for August.
Service is lovely (especially front desk and restaurant)
The spa is a wonderful retreat after a day of sightseeing
Location is great if you are arriving or departing from train station.
Concierge had great food recommendations!
Guest services were very helpful and responsive via email prior to arrival.

Cons:
Location is further from central Milan tourist sites and not walkable. There is a free hotel shuttle that can take you to central Milan but it is small and it was fully booked every time we tried to use it. Luckily taxi was only 15 EUR each way.
Our room was not ready until after 6:30 despite check in time being 4. They did offer a temporary room.
Some of the furniture is looking a little worn down in the rooms.
We were there during a heat wave and the AC struggled to sufficiently cool the room.
It was difficult to understand how use the lights in the rooms.

Overall we enjoyed our time at the hotel.

Nous avons apprécié la situation proche du centre et le service de navette. L’hôtel est beau, très bien équipé, et le personnel est efficace et bienveillant. La proximité de la gare est un atout supplémentaire aussi bien par rapport à la disponibilité des transports que la vue le soir une fois illuminée, notamment quand on profite de la terrasse du bar…

The best of the BEST
Pros:

I came from a wanna be 5 star hotel on lago Maggiore and found this real 5 star luxurious hotel excelsior gallia Milano, what a wonderful Luxus hotel with the friendliest staff possible , great rooms , great beds wonderful sleep!!! Rare theese days …,the best spa and pool food and beverage top, yes the location is at the train station but given the debt they have a shuttle to la scala and galleria which I did not use, everything possible thinkable is provided to guests to make the stay remarkable unique and special thank you for one of the best stays in a hotel for a long time
