Not the most accommodating place if you are traveling with a large family
Pros:

Not going back to this hotel. The location is great, but it is the second time I stay here, and they have dropped the ball both times. We are a family of six travelling with special needs kids. After calling before making the reservation to ensure that we could be set in either adjoining rooms or side by side, and confirming this twice before our arrival, they booked us in two different floors and in smaller rooms that what we had already paid for. On top of that they wanted to charge a destination resort fee for each room that was buried in the disclaimer. When they tried to "make it right", the best they could do was put us in a room that was on the other side of the floor. They did redecorate the rooms, so yeayyyy if you count that as a plus! Lobby is still the same as it was 100 years ago and the elevators are still a problem between nine and eleven when everyone is going out / checking out. There is a great looking Hyatt that I will staying at next time about a block away.

A historical gem of a hotel.
Pros:

Great location in downtown Boston. Enjoyed this old, well-kept historical gem of a hotel. Highly recommend!! Close proximity to public transportation, great restaurants and historical sites.

No sleep for 4 nights
Pros:

Very disappointing stay – would not return

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel and left feeling extremely disappointed.

When we arrived, despite having clearly stated in the booking how many people would be staying, we were given a room that was simply not big enough to accommodate us comfortably. The room had virtually no natural light, with only a very small slither of light coming in, and the bathroom was also incredibly small.

The bathroom was particularly impractical, with no hooks or suitable places to hang damp towels, which made things even more difficult in such a tiny space.

To make matters worse, we were woken up by loud music coming from the neighbouring room at around 4am on two consecutive nights. We were eventually moved to a second room, which was larger, but unfortunately the window faced directly onto a brick wall. The room was incredibly dark and felt very enclosed.

The following morning, we were woken at around 5am by extremely loud noise from lorries and bottles being emptied into bins. This continued for around an hour and made it impossible to get a proper night’s sleep.

What made the experience even worse was the attitude of the staff. They seemed very nonchalant about the issues we were experiencing and did not appear particularly concerned or willing to offer any meaningful help to make our stay more comfortable. I found this extremely disappointing, especially given how little sleep we had managed to get and how much the issues had affected our holiday.

Overall, I barely slept during my stay and did not feel like I was on holiday at all. I understand that some noise and room issues can happen, but the combination of everything, along with the lack of support from the staff, made the experience very unpleasant.

The location is good, but unfortunately, that is about the only positive thing I can say about our stay. Sadly, I would not choose to stay here again and cannot recommend the hotel based on my experience.

Awesome historic hotel
Pros:

The Omni Parker Hotel is a fabulous hotel. Central location which is important because parking is a nightmare. Beautiful interiors everywhere you look. Our room was great, but be prepared to have an extremely small bathroom. It’s well laid out but TINY! The staff was great and the bar/ restaurant was welcoming with great food, albeit a limited menu. I would highly recommend the Omni and would stay there again.

Wonderful stay!
Pros:

We had a wonderful time and the Parker House. From the time we arrived until we check out, every employee we encountered went above and beyond. The hotel was beautiful and everyone went above and beyond.

Find a better Hotel
Pros:

This Hotel needs help, Housekeeping barley showed up, left garbage in the room. The Parker Restaurant served me a steak that I could not cut through, The Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very nice. It did not make up for what was wrong. The TV was on the fritz most of the time, The cable connection did not hold for long. So generally I did not like this place

Pros:

Location was good and staff are friendly.

Cons:

The electricity kept cutting out. We called the facilities team and they weren't at all surprised, suggesting this wasn't the first time they had heard of the issue. They reset the switch but the electricity cut out at least two more times, prompting further follow up action. They could not provide an alternative room. We also had the issue of extremely noisy building works at 4:20am which woke up the whole family. We had a suite and we asked for a roll-out bed so one child could sleep on the sofa bed and the other on the roll-out. The roll-out bed was so uncomfortable that my daughter ended up sleeping on sofa cushions. Finally, the AC was so noisy that we had to turn it off. I was extremely disappointed with this hotel considering that the room rate was $1,800 per night.

Great location for first visit to Boston
Pros:

We were very happy with our room and the hotel's location. The front desk staff and bellmen were so helpful upon our arrival after our day of airline travel. We loved being able to walk to the waterfront for the parade of sails. Once you enter the hotel, the setting feels very peaceful, even though it's right on the busy street. I would skip the hotel restaurant; there are too many other excellent places to eat. We didn't use any of the other services of the hotel because we were out making the most of every day in Boston. We asked for an extra robe and hypoallergenic pillows, and housekeeping was quick and responsive.

"A Charming Historic Property with Great Potential, but Needs Functional Updates"
Pros:

I deeply appreciate historic hotels and understand the desire to preserve their unique heritage. However, there is a fine line between historic charm and outdated functionality, and the property currently leans toward the latter. The guest bathrooms are exceptionally cramped, feeling as though the fixtures were forced into an incredibly tight footprint. The sink is positioned at an awkward angle to fit the space, and the layout is so restrictive that I unfortunately bumped into fixtures and bruised myself multiple times just trying to maneuver. A strategic layout refresh could easily preserve the historic character while ensuring guest safety and basic physical comfort.

The culinary experiences were a mixed bag. Brunch in the Parker House restaurant was absolutely delicious and highly enjoyable. Conversely, the experience at The Parker Bar was highly disappointing. The menu is quite limited. I ordered the clam chowder and Caesar salad, expecting them to arrive together. The chowder was lukewarm, lacked flavor, and was predominantly made up of potatoes rather than clams. After an excessively long wait for the salad, I ultimately had to cancel it with my server.

On a positive note, the customer service at the front desk was excellent. The staff members were consistently prompt, accommodating, and attentive to every request. With some physical updates to the guest rooms and better culinary execution at the bar, this hotel could truly shine.

Great Location in downtown Boston
Pros:

Beautiful historic hotel and extremely walkable to several historical sites in Boston. The hotel has a great staff, amazing restaurant and a coffee shop that serves Starbucks. If you are flying into Logan, the blue line Government Center station is just a couple blocks from the hotel - made traveling easy.

Highly Recommend!
Pros:

My husband and I were very impressed with the hotel; it's one of the top 5 hotels we've stayed at. The history is fascinating, the ambiance is grand, the staff is welcoming and professional, the rooms are comfortable, the dining is superb, and the location is ideal - right on the Freedom Trail and close to popular tourist spots. It is the best place to stay in Boston.

Great stay in Boston
Pros:

Rooms are beautiful, clean. I would say one of the best lobster rolls in the city. The Boston cream pie was delicious. It’s centrally located, near a lot of places to walk to and the subway. It was a wonderful experience at the Omni Parker. Staff is friendly. They give you water at the front desk. The rooms are large and comfortable.

Pros:

Would’ve loved to give the property an excellent. But the noise from the air conditioner was very very loud and our room backed up to an alley which was very very loud so I guess it helped cancel out some of that noise. Other than that we loved it.

Great stay
Pros:

We loved our stay at the Omni Parker House. It’s a great location to either walk or jump on the T to head anywhere. The staff were all very helpful, hardworking and professional. It was obvious they are short staffed in the restaurants but the servers and bartenders worked really hard to keep things moving (especially Alejandro and all the other staff at breakfast!).
