This is our very favorite place to stay when trying to be located near downtown Gatlinburg….and not break the bank! We love…love…love this pool and the way it is positioned right above the creek providing soft and peaceful sounds of the water!
It was a holiday weekend so it was more expensive than usual.
Despite how the exterior looks, the interior was amazing, clean and nice, the price was amazing for what you get!
I do feel that the pool could’ve been netted out more but otherwise the pool was clean, also pets are allowed there so expect to smell pet urine outside your room, I did watch people’s dogs peeing on the wall’s exterior but that isn’t the fault of the motel but the fault of bad pet owners
Staff was exceptionally helpful as I forgot my wallet in Florida with my drivers license to check in. The receptionist was able to help us with that and was so kind about the whole ordeal….i can’t thank her enough! Walking distance to the strip with a trolley stop for non walkers. Price is affordable!
Everything was clean and the stuff was friendly and close to strip
Nothing everything was good
Nothing I got one look at the place and went elsewhere I didn't even cared I already paid.
Horrible smells, door hardly locks, flies all over, very sketchy neighborhood don't bring valuables.
The lady at the front desk was nice. That’s about the only think good I have to say.
Property does not look like pictures. Rooms are outdated and definitely need work. Our shower rod was barely in the wall, outside of property was dirty.
Price value and location
Bed mattress was very uncomfortable. There was barely any hot water in the shower. Guests in room next to us had 2 dogs that barked non stop.
The room was clean and had a TV we could use to watch our shows on while staying. Staff was nice, and we had fresh towels daily.
Our room was next to rooms under construction, our toilet was wobbling and not mounted. Contractors were going in and out outside our room during the day.
The location and the welcome the desk clerk showed us
The room was bare . The faucet was falling off and needs better pillows.
Also long term people in 117? Fighting at night and in early morning
The location is awesome, we got to see bear everywhere. The staff was amazing. The facility was clean. The price is unmatchable.
I really don’t have any complaints
I stayed here because I couldn't find any other available rooms within the area, and I was desperate. It was late, I had been traveling all day, and I was desperate. The facility is run down and appears to have several rooms where individuals and families live in. As I was heading to my room with my luggage, there were people standing all over outside and on the balcony drinking, smoking, and just hanging out. I didn't even shower in the morning because I wanted to get out of their as soon as possible. This place is a dump, and I wouldn't recommend you stay her when visiting Gatlinburg or the surrounding areas.
Loved that it was dog friendly, and that they don’t charge a fee! The fees stopped me from choosing a different place. I loved that we had a balcony, but I was bummed that it wasn’t along the river as I had hoped! It did have a nice little tree lined view off of the patio. The location was perfect, but the hill is quite the calf and thigh work out after doing it a ton of times!! Not too bad though (I am 52, average weight, and don’t exercise). The Great Smoky Mountain Gatlinburg Trail was just minutes away. It is beautiful! It follows the Little Pigeon River, and is wooded, clean, easily traversed. It is also dog friendly, and there is even a little swimming area for dogs… wading for people. The room was decent for the price.
The beds were not very comfortable. I tossed and turned the whole first night, but was okay the second night. Could be because it wasn’t my bed. The towels had hair and bugs in/on them. Look at them before you shower. I am not picky, so no biggy to me, but shouldn’t be that way when you are paying to stay. The balcony literally had a pool of dog pee from the previous guests. We washed it off numerous times, but it must be common, as it stunk the whole time, but we tolerated it, as it is a nice area to sit. The rooms are worn, small bathrooms…. I mean REALLY small. It’s where the shower and tub is though, not the vanity, so again, not a big deal. If you are a large person, I wouldn’t recommend it. The pool was closed, which I was very upset about, as it was my birthday weekend, and one thing I really wanted to do was tan and swim for awhile. We were allowed to use their sister properties pool, but still…. We had to walk to it, and it was never mentioned after I booked the room, that the pool was closed. I did call to confirm that we would actually receive a room with a balcony, and the guy I could barely understand said no, they never book balcony rooms on Saturdays??!! That’s what I chose and booked on here!!! I called back a day later, and spoke with very nice gentleman, whom I could understand, and he assured me we would get a balcony rooms. I think his name was Mike…. Thank you! The front desk lady from Jamaica is SUCH a sweetheart!! We did get a free late check out :).
