Great Home Base for a Golf Trip
Pros:

My friend and I recently booked the Sandman Hotel in Vernon as our basecamp for a local golf trip, and overall, it was a good experience. Check-in was completely smooth, and the location is incredibly convenient. It sits right on the main street coming into the city, making it easy to navigate, and it’s close to plenty of restaurants and shopping for after a day on the course.

The room itself was well-appointed and had everything we needed, including a fridge and microwave, which always comes in handy. It is worth noting that the room and the property as a whole are a bit dated and could definitely use a modern refresh. That said, everything was clean and perfectly fine for what we needed.

Our only real snag was with the air conditioning. The unit in our room wasn't functioning properly and just wouldn't cool the space down. I do want to give credit to the staff, though. They were very responsive and genuinely tried to help us troubleshoot and fix the AC, even though they were ultimately unable to repair it during our stay.

All things considered, if you need a convenient, practical place to crash while staying in Vernon, this is a reasonable choice with good staff.

Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst. Ligging aan de centrale weg maar geen last van verkeerslawaai.
Pros:

Heel goed ontbijt bij restaurant Dennies, bij het hotel.

Cons:

Badkamer erg klein en geen beugel om je vast te houden bij het innen uit het bad te stappen.

Pros:

We were travelling for a funeral and they made our stay very welcoming. Even allowing us to keep a vehicle on their lot a few hours after checkout while we attended the service. They were so kind.

The receptionist who was helping us i believe he was the manager on duty last night was 10/10 fantastic, I also really love the fact that it was pet friendly.

Pros:

Staff, front desk and housekeeping were exceptional.

Cons:

It was Victoria day so there was a loud party for 2 of my 4 nights. They couldn't control the volume.

Didn’t see the value for the money paid. However, staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Cons:

Quality control upon checkin to ensure everything is working properly including that cards for entry into the room worked each day. As well, poor maintenance: bathroom door was only partly painted, caulking in the shower was done very poorly, sink tap was loose, rust showing in shower where caulked over top - just not done properly.

Fine for an overnight stay
Pros:

Friendly check in staff and comfortable bed.

Cons:

There was a musty smell to our room when we first opened the door, and there was no way to air it out. The room is quite small, with no room to open suitcases. The bathroom is also a very tight space, and the noise from the road outside, the train line and other guest rooms was quite loud at times.
