Die Lage war perfekt, um Venedig zu erkunden. Das Zimmer war gemütlich, mit einem grossen Bad.

Our stay at Palazzo San Lorenzo was truly wonderful. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, and perfectly located for exploring Venice. The rooms were comfortable, and the location was excellent. One of the highlights is that you can take a gondola ride right from the canal just outside the hotel, which makes the experience even more special.

The staff was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help, making our stay both relaxing and memorable.

A special thank you to Ali, who went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. He helped us with everything we needed in Venice from recommendations and directions to answering every question with patience and a smile. Ali is incredibly down-to-earth, kind, and genuinely cares about the guests. He generously gave us his time and shared valuable local tips that made exploring the city so much easier. Words truly cannot express how grateful we are for his support, kindness, and hospitality.

Thank you, Palazzo San Lorenzo, for such a fantastic stay. We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice, especially because of the exceptional service provided by Ali.

Cons:

While our stay was enjoyable overall, there were a few things that did not meet our expectations for a 4-star hotel.

The rooms felt a bit dated, with old-looking furniture. The bed frame had several visible scratches and signs of wear and tear, which made the room feel less well maintained.

We requested a room change because we were not like the bright color scheme and the condition of the furniture, particularly the bed frame. The hotel accommodated our request, which we appreciated. However, the second room was noticeably smaller than the first and had the same visible scratches and signs of wear. Unlike the first room, it did not have a wardrobe, and the table was too small for a couple to comfortably place their belongings. The room was also not well soundproofed, so we could clearly hear music from neighboring rooms late at night.

Although the staff was helpful and accommodating, we believe the rooms would benefit from renovation and better soundproofing to meet the standards expected of a 4-star hotel.

Nice romantic weekend getaway
Pros:

The interior was matching the atmosphere of romantic Venice, the room is spacious and clean. It was incredible to see canal of Venice from our windows and have beautiful cute cafes downstairs. Also despite the close location to the center it was not crowded at all!

Cons:

I arrived first, my husband arrived the next day. So when I got the key from my room the hotel porter just showed me the room and watched me struggle with my luggage without helping me.
Breakfast could be better, more choices.
