Sheraton Berlin Grand Hotel Esplanade

Very minor but can be important but the hotel pillows are really poor - definitely need a refresh and option to get harder pillows that other hotels offer

This hotel is completely unworthy of the Sheraton name. My experience was an absolute nightmare from beginning to end.

The room was extremely dirty, and despite asking the reception multiple times to have it cleaned, I repeatedly came back to find that it had still not been cleaned. At one point, I asked the receptionist how I was supposed to sleep in a dirty bed. His response was essentially, “It’s not my problem” and “I cannot do anything for you.” I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and basic customer service.

The air conditioning was not working, the coffee machine in my room was broken, and when I reported these issues, I was simply told that nothing could be done.

The reception staff were also extremely rude and, at times, were shouting. There were long periods when nobody answered the reception at all. The hotel is enormous, yet there seemed to be only a handful of staff working, which clearly affected the cleanliness, service, and overall safety of the property.

I have photos and videos documenting the condition of the room and the issues I experienced. I will be sharing them so people can see for themselves what the reality of this hotel was during my stay.

Honestly, I have stayed in one-star hotels that were cleaner, better maintained, and provided much better customer service.

I genuinely don’t understand how a hotel operating under the Sheraton name can provide this level of service and hygiene. This was not just a disappointing stay—it was a nightmare.

My advice: think very carefully before booking this hotel.

Por dar algo negativo, el colchón de la cama era un poco incómodo, se india mucho.

Our stay at this hotel was a real disappointment. Instead of the standard you’d expect from a five-star property, we got stuffy rooms with non-functioning air conditioning, no genuine help from staff, and misleading information about the hotel’s actual technical condition. We reported the air conditioning failure in both of our rooms to the manager just an hour after checking in. Reception assured us the system would be up and running again soon, so we headed out to explore the city.

Six hours later, we returned to find the rooms hotter than it was outside — nothing had been fixed. Staff then admitted the issue couldn’t be resolved and promised to bring fans to our rooms instead. The fans never showed up: after coming back from the hotel bar, we were simply told there wouldn’t be any after all. Technical failures can happen at any hotel. But hiding the problem from the start, offering no real alternative, and making promises with no follow-through is unacceptable at a property of this caliber. We expected far more from the Sheraton name.

Die Kaffeemaschine auf dem Zimmer hatte nicht funktioniert. Das Waschbecken und die Decke des Badezimmers ist kein gutes Aushängeschild für den Namen des Hotels...etwas Farbe , detailliertere Sauberkeit im Bad...dann strahlt es wieder. Das Parhaus war für 8 Tage sehr teuer.Für 1 -2Tage okay... Wir hatten somit in einem anderen Parkhaus geparkt. Frühstück konnte spontan gebucht werden, war dann aber im Verhältnis Wesen teurer ,als wenn man es fest für 8 Nächte dazubucht....was bei 5 Personen Personen aber auch schnell den Rahmen sprengt.

En realidad lo único que mejoraría es el secador de pelo, pero debo destacar que el personal amablemente me prestó otro que funcionaba mejor

Leider ist bei unserem Aufenthalt die Klimaanlage ausgefallen. Bei einer Außentemperatur von 36 Grad, war es in den Zimmern kaum auszuhalten. Es wurde uns zwar ein Ventilator gegeben, aber auf Zimmerwechsel sind sie gar nicht darauf eingegangen. Auch der versprochene monteur kam nicht vorbei.

Das Hotel ist schon in die Jahre gekommen und es gab viele Details die nicht zu eine Grand Hotel gepasst haben

匂いや蚊が気になった。蛇口も硬くてストレスになった。コーヒーマシンも稼働しなかった。駅から遠くアクセス全ての点で不満だらけのホテルだった。
