This hotel is about a Category 3 if that. Don’t expect much unless you expect a budget hotel
First impression of the room which was a king bed with sofa, was that the rug in front of the couch was filthy and the room was extremely small. Perhaps the rug was not as dirty as it looked, but it was cheap, worn and very dark with no fabric left. The room was so small we could hardly open our suitcases. The pictures on the size of the room are very deceiving.
We were in the building at the back, so the hot water took 5 minutes to reach our room (according to them it was because were were “so far away”).
I paid about $385 a night after taxes for this room, and it was too much. There are so many other hotels in Santa Barbara, this is no value. The parking garage is good and elevator convenient. The breakfast food is adequate.
A great spot for business travelers and families. My room had a couch and a desk which was what I needed as I was working. Breakfast was decent in the morning, it was busy at 730. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
This hotel is very poorly run. I would never stay here again. Instead of addressing issues the manager is rude to guests.

We have stayed at this Hyatt place since their first opening and it has definitely lost its luster. The only really good thing about it is its proximity to our son‘s house in Hope Ranch. Definitely in need of a refreshing and it would be helpful if the room you booked online was representative of the room you receive. I had booked a room with a walk-in shower very specifically because both my husband and I do better with that and the room had a tub to step over into. He is with a walker, does not need an ADA room, but it would’ve been much more convenient and safe had we received the room that I had booked. I inquired immediately when getting into the room, but they didn’t have anything to accommodate us.
