Although my family and I have stayed at this hotel chain several times in the past, our recent 7-day stay at this specific Home2 Suites was an absolute nightmare. If you reserve through Booking.com, be prepared to be treated like a second-class citizen.
Here is a breakdown of our terrible experience:
Blatant Discrimination: Even though this is a 17-story hotel, management clearly discriminates against guests who do not book directly through Hilton Honors. Booking.com customers are banished to the third floor or lower and are given the cheapest, worst rooms available. You are stripped of any standard guest rights, and they even refuse to provide you with an invoice or receipt simply because of the platform you used to book.
False Advertising & Torn Bedding: I traveled with my wife and son and reserved a room with a Queen bed. Instead, we were given a bed that was significantly smaller than a Queen, plus a sofa bed. The three of us obviously could not fit in the main bed. To make matters worse, the bedsheets we were provided were actually torn and ripped.
Terrible Sleep Quality: The pillows on both the main bed and the sofa were incredibly uncomfortable—the worst I have ever encountered at a hotel of this supposed caliber. Because of the small main bed, one of us had to sleep on the sofa bed, which was intensely uncomfortable and loudly squeaked with every slight movement. The noise was so bad that it woke the rest of us up throughout the night, ruining our sleep for the entire trip.
Non-Existent Housekeeping: During our entire 7-day stay, housekeeping cleaned our room exactly once. This only happened because we had to go out of our way to complain and demand basic service.
Threatening Management: The most shocking part of our stay was the customer service. When I went to the front desk to complain about the room conditions and ask to be moved to a better room, the man who proudly identified himself as the manager was incredibly hostile.

Hotellin siisteystaso on surkea. Saapuessa ilmoitetaan, että huone siivotaan vain joka toinen päivä, 3. päivästä alkaen. 3:na päivänä tulee ovenkahvaan tulostettu ilmoitus, ettei siivousta ehditä suorittaa. Netistä selviää, että kyse ei ole poikkeuksesta vaan talon tavasta. 4. päivä pyydän aamulla pyyhkeitä ja roskien tyhjentämistä (huoneessa on keittiö, joten roska-astioissamme haisee jo hedelmänkuoria, jogurttipurkkeja yms). Huoneessa ei ole edes wc harjaa tai tiskaussientä. Kun palaan töistä, mitään ei ole tapahtunut. Otan yhteyttä Hilton Honors helpiin chatissa ja sähköpostilla. Iltamyöhällä saan toisella yrittämällä muutaman pyyhkeen. Pyydän myös peittoa, koska olemme kolme aikuista palelleet yhdellä peitolla, osa vain ohuen vohvelihuovan alla. Saan tylyn esitelmän blanketin ja comforterin eroista. 5. päivä vien aamulla kirjallisen listan roskista, pyyhkeistä, saippuasta ja complimentary tuotteista. Huoneessa käväistään "siivoamassa". Suihkuun jätetään ylimääräinen shampoo, mutta sitä ei vaihdeta tyhjän tilalle. Tasoja ei pyyhitä. Roskat sentään viedään. 7:nä päivänä siivousta ei taaskaan kuulu. Isoisä lähtee pyytämään sitä iltapäivällä. Hänelle ollaan niin tylyjä (ei onnistu tänään), että hän on kyynelissä kun palaan. Käyn pyytämässä toista siivousta (7 vrk oleskelun jälkeen) ja huoneessa vihdoin käväistään. Emme ole ainoita, hotellivieraat kyselevät hississä, siivotaanko teidän huonettanne? Aamiaisella tuolit ovat tahmeita, aterinlaatikot täynnä leivänmuruja, astianpalautuksessa jalat tarttuvat lattiaan. Kun likaisten astioiden pesuvati käydään tyhjentämässä, se palautetaan täynnä maitoa ja ruuantähteitä. Olen nyt odottanut 7. business päivää ensimmäisestä sähköpostista Hilton Honors helpiin saamatta vastausta. Hotelli on Hilton ketjulle häpeäksi. Merkillepantavaa on, että henkilökunta ei ovimiestä lukuunottamatta hymyile tai edes tervehdi asiakkaita. Huoneessa ei myöskään ole kuvauksesta poiketen tallelokeroa.

Nur nach Pilsen nahmen wir die Hochbahn-Bhf.Station auch zu erlaufen...
Sehr freundliches Service Personal.
Frühstück einfach -aber ausreichend, Toast, Butter, Ei , Marmelade , Joghurt , Oatmeal.,.Obst, Brownies u.a.
Zimmer (Suite) sehr groß, Blick auf Hochhäuser.
Gaststätten(Portillos- toll!) u.a. sowie Whole Markt(Salate, warme , kalte Speisen zu holen) oder Aldi in unmittelbarer Nähe.
Handtuchwechsel nach 2Tagen...wird auch bei Ankunft gesagt.
Einmal klappte es u.Zimmer war gesäubert/ BETT gemacht...Danach gab es erst 2Tage vor Auscheck neue Handtücher...Bett haben wir selbst geordnet.
Kaffee war leider nicht nachgefüllt.

1. הייתי שם 6 ימים, רק פעם אחת בכל תקופת השהייה שלי ניקו את החדר והחליפו מגבות!
2. אין אפשרות לפתוח חלון בחדר, הם פירקו את הידית, אין אפשרות לאוורר את החדר.
3. ארוחת בוקר גרועה מאוד

The room smelled, was half cleaned, and the bathroom faucet was broken, flooding the bathroom. The kitchen in the suite was a joke. Appliances in the kitchen were broken, and flooded the bathroom
The biggest problem, which was a small problem honestly, was that the bottom two drawers of the dresser were broken. Broken in the way where they still worked, but it was hard to open and close them and you're afraid of making it worse.
The staff members were welcoming and patient.

My teenage children had to sleep on a pull out bed. One flat, dirty pillow each, blanket with giant hole in one corner of it and a squeaky and uncomfortable bed overall.
I had to use cleaning wipes when we arrived for door handles, light switches, toilet and spots on the shower.
The breakfast was poor overall. Dried out items, not many choices, and things weren't refilled. Also don't like not having stairs to get from the ground floor to the floor we stayed on. Worst part of this stay was not having a parking lot for our vehicle and having to walk to the parking deck.

The staff didnt seem to care that housekeeping wasn't done. We had a 7 night stay and only was provided turn down twice after complaining it wasnt getting done.
Do NOT stay here! It took TWO hours to CHECK IN! Our bad experience started with booking. I called to make the reservation and requested a king suite that has a separate bedroom from the living room. What he booked was a regular suite, which isn't a suite at all but two connected rooms. I called as soon as I noticed on the reservation email they sent the week before our stay and they had little sympathy and charged me more for a room upgrade because it was a last minute change. That should have been a warning to me.
When we went to check in we found out that parking is two or three blocks away from the actual hotel (and once we got trapped in the parking garage for 45 minutes because the first person on the "help" button refused to help us at all unless we paid $55 to get out- it was supposed to be part of our room fee - The second person took our information and finally let us out after we were late.)
We arrived ten minutes before check in but they wouldn't allow early check in. There was a hotel employee screaming that if she left she would be terminated - another warning this was NOT the hotel for us. When she was done with her fit someone from sales came to man the desk and told us we could not check in. Fine, we ate and came back an hour later and now there was a long line at check in. We waited about 45 minutes in line and our room still was not ready. They said they would move us to a different room. It took TWO TOTAL HOURS for them to do this. TWO HOURS! My spouse had to wait in the lobby that entire time.
When we FINALLY got into our room it was clean enough and everything was fine, but the doors to the bathroom are pocket doors that make a terrible rumbling noise when you close them and they do not close! Neither side closed all the way and they didn't latch obviously. I was awakened by the rumbling every night of our stay and there was just nothing we could do about it. We stayed 4 nights and housekeeping did not come even once. They are supposed to come every other day. We had to beg for towels on day 3. We asked in the morning and several times more and they came after 9 p.m. to deliver them. Overall it was a terrible stay. Last time we were in Chicago we stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile and the parking was right in the building with no issues. We only tried this one because it seemed to be closer to shops and restaurants. Won't be making that mistake again!
I loved the views and the room was clean.
It was a bit crowded but that's actually a good thing it means many people loved the hotel.
