A nice place with great staff - just too hot
Pros:

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean.

Cons:

It was very hot and the fan provided was woefully ineffective. A better fan would have made a huge difference to our comfort.

This is a good pub for stop overs or staying in Poole.
Pros:

This is a pub with rooms upstairs. Can’t fault the very friendly, helpful staff, the location or room rate per night. The pub users are a friendly bunch as well. As everywhere these days the bar prices are high. Evening meal pub grub is better than most and reasonably priced with good service. Full breakfast at £10.75 a bit high if there are 2 of you but freshly cooked to order. Continental option at £8.75. The premises is a bit tired. Beds comfortable but the TV didn’t work. Ample free parking. Overall would recommend if you are visiting Poole or stopping over as we did to and from Cornwall.

OK but nothing special
Pros:

Pre packaged ok, fresh cooked a bit wet and oily.
Cannot fault the efforts of the manager, Les.

Cons:

Automatic housekeeping for the room when staying more than one night. Don't expect housekeeping to be missed if you don't remind the staff.

Good place for an overnight stop for ferry sailings
Pros:

Cheerful pub with rooms, popular with locals and ferry travellers before and after sailing from Poole Harbour. Unpretentious and decent value. Room spacious and comfortable. Staff helpful and welcoming.

Cons:

Steep and twisting stairs to rooms and confusing overnight access arrangements when pub is closed.

Pros:

Goede bedden, gezellige bar.

Cons:

Kamer was erg gehorig, zowel de buren als ook trap-lopers waren erg goed horen (kamer naast de trap).
Ook het ontbijt (helaas geen buffet) was erg karig.
