I wouldn’t usually write a negative review but feel I need to on this occasion. The hotel family room was good size bathroom could do with TLC but we got what we paid for I guess.
Waited ages for drinks , continental breakfast we had to wait 1hr 30 mins and it wasn’t all there. Lots of people asking about their orders. This was not the member of staffs fault she was on her own trying to juggle everything.
I would have stayed again but not booked breakfast until I got home and received a call with allegations of stealing towels and pillows! We had our own towels I used 1 small one as flannel when I was ill in the night. I find this very insulting and asking me to return them or pay for them? They need check the cameras and see we had a small bag each and £shop bag we wouldn’t have fitted pillows in etc. check with cleaners and the check list before making assumptions. Very disappointing so will not be returning again. Will be accusing us of taking toilet role next ! And the toilet brush. (There wasn’t one) Only had 1 and half role for 4 of us and I have Crohn’s disease with a stoma so I use frequently. Really thought we found our returning place every year until this. :(
The location was just right and cost of room was fair .
Waited 1 hour for continental breakfast and then it wasn’t all complete, waited 15 mins for drinks . Lack of staff poor staff member on was on her own dealing with everything so many ordered weren’t right or customers chasing their orders.

Room was filthy shower did not work bathroom disgusting BF terrible black pudding was off staff very young but ok no one wanted to act on complaints never again

Noisy commercial fans out back of building, didn’t bother me that much. But can imagine light sleeps would object , req a room at front or the side I’d say

Location was great. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. Plenty of space for me and two children.
The bathroom could do with updating
We stayed here last year, and this time a big improvement on the exterior of the building. Recognising some of the staff from last year, always cheerful and welcoming. We had room 2 this time, first floor, great views of the sea front, pier and beach. Like before room is a bit dated, but clean and tidy! Good size room with king size bed, and sofa bed if needed. Stayed for three nights, plenty of tea and coffee. Had an evening meal, tried the Hawkstone pie, Jeremy Clarkson, really tasty. Tried the Sunday lunch, the veg was all fresh, cooked to perfection, roast potatoes were on another level, absolutely the best. Half chicken was a bit on the dry side, but the turkey was perfect. Will definitely stay again.
Tried Sunday lunch here, was not what we were expecting. There was four of us, two had turkey, one beef and one half chicken. When the very polite young lady brought them out, it was “wow” all veg fresh not frozen, cauliflower cheese, fresh, the best roast potatoes any of us had ever had, the mash was an added bonus, so creamy and not frozen, the Yorkshire puddings were massive. The turkey was the best meat, so moist and tasty! It was nice having proper gravy. Will definitely be back, and can not recommend enough.

The location was great exactly in front of the sea!!
It was extremely hot, and there was no air conditioning. There was only a very small fan, which didn’t do anything. We couldn’t open the window any further, as it was only slightly open. There was also no fridge in the room where we could keep a cold drink or water.
