Pros:

Friendly staff (one chap was very helpful as he gave me good advice for my journey south), spacious area for breakfast and dinner (although I didn't have dinner and only had breakfast on one of the mornings). Limited options if you are vegetarian and breakfast really only any good if you want a cooked full English. Room I stayed in was ok. Large family room with a decent sea view. Shower was very low pressure though. The complementary soap was nice and the linen was excellent. Good WiFi throughout. Reasonable price for a budget hotel. Don't expect to be wowed, it's a budget hotel.

Cons:

I asked specifically for the oat milk. Don't think I got that on day 1 and on day 2 was told they only have it in sachets and the lady seemed put out that I requested this just for my cereal. I didn't bother in the end and the chap in the hotel next door gave me a free breakfast which was kind. Limited on-site car parking but I think they only have a handful of rooms which prone explains that.

Not worth the money and very bad smells.
Pros:

Location was great and parking is limited but available. Some of the staff are very courteous. Solid pool table.

Cons:

I booked 2 rooms. One was on the top floor and it smelt really bad. From the hall way all the way into my room had the same smell. Like a blocked toilet. If you have a room between 6-9, you’re in for an experience.
A member of staff came up to investigate but said they couldn’t smell anything but air freshener. Apparently the hotel was fully booked and had no way of changing my room.

Some of the staff have stop caring and even closed the kitchen 5 hours early as they were short staff and didn’t feel like serving food. They didn’t even want to use tongs to put a lime in my desperado and asked if they could use their hands. They used tongs in the end but it’s explains everything about this place.

With some investment this place could do well but I’m guessing it’s doing well enough for them not to care anymore than they do.
