Great place to stay
Pros:

The staff were very friendly. They helped us with bringing our bags up the flight of stairs. The breakfast was good and it was in a central location.

Cons:

It was warm in the room. It had a fan but it was still warm. That is not the Inn's fault.

Comfortable but frustrating!
Pros:

Comfortable bed. The young staff were friendly & very helpful.

Cons:

The room cleanliness could have been better. The 2 tier pricing system for drinks (cheaper if you used the app) was not good as the app was difficult to join & use, even the helpful staff had trouble with it.

Very Disappointing
Pros:

All members of staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed on one of the hottest days of the year and the staff members were working really hard in difficult circumstances. The view of the abbey from our bedroom window was superb. The hotel is well-placed at the halfway point on our drive to Cornwall.

Cons:

The premises are rather run down and in need of refurbishment. In some areas there were holes in the wallpaper. The food was terrible. We went down to dinner at 7pm and found that a number of items were off the menu (we were not the only ones affected by this). When we eventually found two steak items that were available the meat was, although cooked to our requirements, really tough and the baked potatoes dry. The next morning the breakfast bar consisted of a few croissants and Danish pastries, small boxes of cereal, one apple and the cooked element of poached eggs were hard and served on toast made of the cheapest bread available.

Great place to stay when visiting Sherborne.
Pros:

I have been staying at this inn for over ten years. It is heritage accommodation that has risen to the many challenges of upgrading and I was pleased to see this has recently been done well. It is exactly what it claims to be, and excellent value for the centre of Sherborne. The staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful and the establishment has a warm, unpretentious atmosphere. I was given a quiet room, as requested, and there were no noise issues during the week I stayed there.

Cons:

Nothing.

Excellent location, friendly and accommodating staff.
Pros:

This is a budget hotel, so is fairly basic, though very functional. However, I would give it 5 stars for the staff (especially Katie) who went above and beyond to make my stay, and that of my friend very comfortable and pleasant. I would definitely return.

Cons:
