Great location to explore Melrose and beyond
Pros:

Lovely welcome upon arrival, really good sized room overlooking the high street. Evening meal was very good, served in a pleasant dining room. Good breakfast the next morning.

A superb start to St Cuthbert’s Way long distance walk.
Pros:

We arrived in the lively and lovely town of Melrose to start the long distance walk to Lindisfarne known as St Cuthbert’s Way. We were delighted to find The Townhouse Hotel conveniently situated on the market square. The welcome was efficient and friendly and our room was spacious and comfortable with a huge bed, generous sitting area and every amenity we needed was available. The service was faultless both in the bar and at breakfast where there was a wide selection of tempting dishes. We would have no hesitation in recommending a stay at this establishment
