No idea why this place has bad ratings; must be about previous ownership/mgmt.
Pros:

I had an appointment at Notre Dame of Maryland University, only about a mile away, so this was perfect. The hotel was very quiet even though I know many other people were staying there. The room is large, large enough for a full-size couch, a big TV screen, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, iron and ironing board, closet, and desk. Everything in the room worked. The price was quite reasonable. Online, I was told that breakfast was not included and would be an extra $43(!?!), but when I arrived, the man at the front desk told me it is free and included in the room. (He was also always eager to assist me whenever I got within his sightlines.) The breakfast is very good as hotel breakfasts go. I parked underneath the hotel, so away from weather and the street. There are several restaurants in the greater complex, but it didn't seem like any of them had high ratings except for the Chinese restaurant, where the food is very good (though everything is overpriced except entrees, so you can see where it makes $).
