Der Aufenthalt im Hotel Rostspitz war super schön.Wir haben uns mega wohl gefühlt.
Das Zimmer sehr sauber und komfortabel,.
Die komplette Belegschaft so freundlich und zuvorkommend.Da möchte ich auch gleich noch den Chef des Hotels erwähnen.Super nett.Man hat sich sooo wohl gefühlt inmitten der wunderschönen Natur.
Das Frühstück und Abendessen so lecker.
Großes Kompliment an alle vom Hotel Rostspitz.Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Abwechslungsreicher schöner Urlaub am Achensee!

Disappointing and too expensive

Sadly not much. Not worth over €500 euro for 4 nights room only.

I have never felt so unwelcome at a hotel in all my years of travelling around the world!

The person who checked me in appeared grumpy from the start and when I tried to query my room as it did not match the description and confirmation on booking.com he became rude and verbally aggressive, I managed to get about 5 words in before I was spoken over, given a worse room and he actually said "if you don't want a room with a balcony then you can have one without!". I wasn't bothered for a balcony next to a main road anyway, however that was not the point, but he refused to listen.
I am not fluent in German but there was zero patience in communication from any of front of house staff. They were much more amenable to couples speaking German so I got the feeling they do not like English people and/or solo travellers or maybe it was the fact that I queried what I had booked and paid for rather than what I got. Housekeeping staff were the only cheery ones.

I went to the restaurant the next evening and got told it was full. I could see it was not and a couple arrived minutes after while I was still stood there wondering where else I could go eat. They asked if any tables were available and got given one straight away. One waitress saw this and tried to help and put me on end of a huge table that was in use by a couple. All other staff were ignored me or were very abrupt. I did not go back to the restaurant. Breakfast is €20 so not a great option for someone who likes a very light breakfast. There is a 2 euro coffee machine on stairs which sometimes worked and sometimes did not so don't rely on this but there is a vending machine for cold drinks.

Due to the hotels position, rooms on second floor are at road level so are are noisy and very dark on that side. There is no Aircon so windows needed to be open in summer but the traffic noise was loud and constant from 5am - 11pm and intermittent all night.

Für 2 Nächte okay aber viel zu teuer.
Pros:

Das Frühstück war sehr gut.

Cons:

Das Bad war nicht richtig sauber. Keine Klimaanlage. Das sollte man bei annähernd 200€ pro Nacht erwarten.

Wir waren uns einig, dass wir nicht mehr kommen würden

Das Hotel war gut zu erreichen und man kann von dort aus sämtlichen Sportarten oder auch Aktivitäten nachgehen.

Cons:

In den Zimmern war kein Kühlschrank vorhanden. Bei heißen Temperaturen kann man weder Getränke noch Riegel etc. kühlen.
Das Frühstück kostet 20€ p.P. Darin ist jedoch lediglich normaler Kaffee enthalten. Für einen Cappuccino oder Ähnliches wird Aufpreis verlangt. Die Auswahl ist in Ordnung aber das Buffet ist so schlecht von der Anordnung platziert sodass man sich bereits mit einer Person im weg steht.Das Personal gibt sich Mühe versteht aber oft nicht alles durch sprachlich Defizite. Der Herr an der Rezeption war null gastfreundlich und ist unabhängig von drei Buchungen in verschiedenen Dingen negativ aufgefallen. Auch beim Abendessen muss man sagen, dass es grundsätzlich solide geschmeckt hat aber für den Preis kann man in einem anderen Lokal im Ort besser essen. Besonders zu erwähnen ist dass jede Beilagenänderung 5€ kostet. Mir fällt kein Grund ein wieso ein Gericht mit Pommes mehr oder weniger kosten sollte als mit Kartoffelsalat.
