Delightful staff, fabulous view of all important Melbourne landmarks from MY BED. Huge window on 33rd floor overlooking the most expansive and fabulous view. Biggest bed, hugest towels and fluffiest dressing gown. Breakfast and all meals were perfection, plentiful and perfectly presented. The atmosphere plush, elevators efficient and speedy. I cannot wait until I next need a restful, luxurious escape.
Although I appreciate that renovations are occasionally necessary, I was a little disappointed at the temporary closure of some facilities.
All staff were friendly, especially in the Collins kitchen.
Mini bar could have more variety.
Amazing few days stay at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a hit of moodiness. The room was elegant, stylish and very clean. The staff were exceptional! Great value for money! Will be back again!
Good location, bath tub.
Felt like the standard had slipped a little from previous stays 5+ years ago. Minor things like mould around bathroom sink and wanting a fee and service charge for a small jug of milk for tea. This was free on my previous visits. Fair enough at a budget hotel but I think it’s a reasonable request at a luxury hotel.
Pool and spa facilities closed but this was only disclosed after my non refundable booking was made.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was of a high standard with all expected amenities. The bed was comfy and there was a choice of pillows. We didn't have breakfast but did enjoy a late evening coffee and cake which was delicious. Perfect location in the theatre district and CBD. There is a car park adjacent, however, I believe it is closing in October (not sure why or if it will be re-opening at some stage).
We booked two rooms and requested them on the same level however they were unable to accommodate our request which was okay, although a little annoying as we couldn't get to each other's floors. One room on the 14th floor was a little noisy with plumbing from adjacent and above rooms quite loud at night (flushing toilets, shower etc). Didn't stop us from sleeping and possibly not a whole hotel issue.
Fantastic location, walk to NGV, amazing restaurants, high end shopping and well as the cbd. Comfortable beds, excellent staff. Great in room dining
